I’m hoping to turn in to something really pretty!

Hi all….

I had my weigh in today.  My scales read in kilograms, so I try to change to stones and pounds because I understand that better.  The converter website I use wasn’t working today so I tried another one.  And it turns out all my previous measurements were wrong.  I know, because the scale read 66.9kg today.  That’s lower than last week, but according to the new converter that equals 10st 7lbs.  But this is what it said word for word:

66.9kg = 10.5349st

OR

10st and 7.48lbs

So I have no idea what I used to weigh.  I can’t remember what my weight was on the scale at week 0.  I actually want to cry.  When I thought I had lost weight and I’m actually the “heaviest” I ever thought I’d been.  So I must have been like, 11stone.  How the hell am I meant to know?  So what am I meant to do?

Do I start all over again, knowing that I have this f*ck up behind me, or just say as if I started at 11 stone?  What if I was even heavier than that?  I suck.  :(

Ugh…. Ok let’s think about this.  If 10.5 = 10st 7lbs (I think the other site gave me the decimal value and I misunderstood) that means I was approximately 2lbs out.  If I add two pounds to all my other weights they go:

  • Week 0 - 10st 9lbs
  • Week 1 - 10st 8lbs
  • Week 2 - 10st 6lbs
  • Week 3 - 10st 8lbs
  • Week 4 - 10st 7lbs

So all the progress I thought I’d made, that I was down to 10st 4lbs at one point?  Non-existant.  I am so disheartened at this point.  I could really, really give up.  I won’t because I need to lose weight, but this seriously sucks.

    Hmmm, that’s well annoying. I just checked on a converter site and 66.9kg came out at 147.2 Ibs. Which is 10st 7.2Ibs.

    Have you checked on your scales to see if there is a switch that lets you choose between kg/Ibs/stones and pounds. There usually is one at the back. Sorry if that soundsa bit obvious…

    Anyways, you could just take it as a fresh start. Take your start weight as what you got this morning and just concentrate on the future. After all- it doesn’t really matter what you USED to weigh, it’s what you are gonna weigh which matters (and that is gonna be less! :) )

    And I’ve hit my £100 target, so i’ve done the only sensible thing and upped it to £150 :) I only expected to raise about £50 but I’ve done this much in 2 weeks I’m just gonna see how much I can get! Less that 2 weeks now….eeek!

    Hi again, sorry for leaving loads of comments. I’ve just been looking on amazon at the pilates dvd’s- which one did you get- the pilates workout for dummies, or the pilates WEIGHT LOSS workout for dummies? They are both very cheap though, I might get both… it appears i have lost my yoga dvd. *sigh* i only used to do the first bit of it anyway…
