Update

I haven’t updated the blog in nearly four months, and I assumed it had died a natural death (Since the 3FC policy is to delete the blogs if they’ve been inactive for 2 months).

I just haven’t had time, and I was taking some of the comments too personally.

Today though a friend asked me to recommend some good exchange plan cookbooks, and I told her “I know I have a list somewhere,” and when I got home I remembered where that list was (and the only place it was).

ON THIS BLOG.

So I logged in, thinking the odds of my being able to retrieve the list were pretty slim, but got extremely lucky.  It’s still here (with only 800 some comments awaiting moderation).

I still haven’t decided the ultimate fate of this blog, but I’m making this entry to prolong it’s life at least a little while, as I retrieve information from the blog that I might want to transfer.

And to thank everyone who participated in this endeavor with me.

If the comments are bothering you, you may want to simply start a new blog on something like Blogger and eliminate comments altogether. I don’t know about 3FC, but Blogger allows you to simply block any and all commenting. That is what I have done on my blog… not because they are troubling, but because I just think that it’s best if I’m in this on my own so that I can dispense thoughts and ideas as they occur to me, but not feel drawn into a community which I sometimes find destructive.

No matter what you do, I wish you the best of luck. You have such great wisdom and it’d be a shame if you didn’t have an outlet with which to share it.

Taking the comments too personally really is the least of the reasons I’m having to put the blog on hold, at least temporarily. I may eventually continue here or transfer it to another site (which means I’ll have to keep it active until I’m ready to do that).

My main reason for taking a sabbatical from blogging is that I am working on opening an etsy shop for my crocheted and multimedia arts and crafts, and working on a YA urban fantasy novel (suburban fantasy may be more accurate).

I’m glad to hear that there is a positive reason to put the blog on hold. You may want to start a blog related to your creative pursuits so you have another focus. I’ve got 3 other blogs (under a different name) which are not in the least related to weight loss and are outlets which I find very valuable.

If you ever want to talk to someone who empathizes or share your shop’s name or whatever, feel free to contact me at screamingfatgirl@gmail.com.
