Rise and Shine

I feel spoiled by this beautiful weather. The fresh air, bright blue skies and birds chirping have made it much easier to get out of bed in the morning. I opened my eyes at 7am and instead of sleeping in I got out of bed and started my day. It’s two minutes to 8am and I’m ready for work. Nice :)

Yesterday was good. Work went by smoothly. The boss was apparently in a bad mood in the morning but showed no signs of it when I was there. She left for the gym at 5:15 so Lauren and I just chilled out for the last two hours of work. I headed to Annie Sez on my break and after work to find a spring jacket. With yesterdays nice weather it occured to me that I have no spring jackets. My winter jacket won’t do on a 50 degree day. So, I’m now in search of a nice spring coat. I’m thinking either leather or canvas. I know leather is really in style right now. I don’t know if it’d work well with me though. We’ll see. I got salmon and brown rice from my favorite Asian place, came home to eat, talked to Drew on his drive home and was fast asleep around 10:30pm.

Weight this morning was 154.0. I’m happy with this number. For a long while I was bouncing between 156 and 158. Since the beginning of the year I think I’ve lost about 3 or 4 pounds without doing much work for it. I’m still going out and drinking, I’m not exercising as much as I should but I’ve been trying to portion out my food as best as a can. I’ve learned to not eat when I’m not hungry and around Drew which is a good thing. I’ve still got two weeks until Foxwoods. I wonder if I can shed a couple more pounds before then. Maybe if I go to the gym hardcore for the next couple of weeks I could even see 149 again! How awesome would that be? =)

Todays plan is work from 9 - 6. At 6 I’m going straight to the gym for a good cardio work out. I’m hoping to bang out at least 3 miles on the treadmill. I could do it at around 35 minutes or so most days so.. we’ll see what I can do. After the gym it’s home to take a hot shower, get comfortable, fix dinner and watch a movie or two that I should be getting from Netflix today. Overall.. I think today is going to be a really good day :)

I love this weather! It’s had such an impact on my mood lately! Ah!

Welp! That’s all from me this morning. Time to head to work, get some yummy Starbucks coffee and start my day :)

    Isn’t it amazing how much this wonderful sunshine and warmer weather makes us feel? I almost dread DST on one hand, because it won’t be light when I get up anymore. But I am looking forward to longer evenings.

    the weather seems to be infectious. it’s just gorgeous outside right now. the forecast shows that things will start going downhill again steadily. enjoy your workout.

    154. That’s a miracle number to me now. hahaha… I think I need to hop on your boat and see if I do better. :D I’m hoping to find a nice elliptical with our tax return. That was really a big part of my weight loss - I don’t have the gym membership anymore. :( O’well - blog life goes on! :)

    I know you’ll be down to 149 in no time. I’m going to try and join ya. You’re my only motivation!
