I weighed in this morning at 155 even!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First goal - CHECK
This means it’s time for my first reward - a pedicure with my sister!
So, I got in a decent run yesterday. My new plan is, in order to up my mileage, pick a distance and run what I can and walk the rest. This next week I am going ot focus on doing 5km, and just record my time to do it. I did 5km yesterday, with a fair bit of walking, but was surprised that the first 3.2km that I usually run, I ran at a significantly faster pace, without even trying. I ended up walking maybe a quarter of that first 3.2km, but still finished my usual time of all running (about a 10:30 minute mile).
I have decided that I must have some sort of dairy allergy, as my stomach has been in turmoil all week and the only thing I can correlate it with is dairy consumption. I am going to try and eliminate it completely and see how I fell…which SUCKS!!!! That means no cottage cheese, no yogurt…dairy is such a quick and convenient source of protein for me…plus I LOVE cheese of mostly any kind…Oh well, I guess if I feel better, it’s worth it!
Oh! And a new low weight this morning!

So, after a week and two days of ZERO running, I finally got my motivation back and ran Saturday and today after work. Neither runs were very long, but enough to get me back in the game…
Also, as and added incentive to keep on schedule, and to help out a good cause at the same time, I have signed up for a 10km run August 23, for the Schizophrenia Association of Alberta. I sent out my pledge requests tonight, and am excited for that!
My eating was on plan today:
Breakfast: Multi-grain sandwich thin with natural PB and raspberry jam, coffee, water and vitamins
Lunch: Baby spinach, cucumber, cottage cheese and rye crackers. Watermelon for dessert.
Supper: Turkey sausage (Tequila Habanero flavor - yum! and only 120 calories each!),red peppers, spinach, a bit of cheese, mustard and BBQ sauce, all in a La Tortilla wrap. Or a Miracle Wrap as I like to call them…
Dessert: A bit og homemade chocolate banana cake
Drinking TONS of water today, feeling good! My right leg i bothering me when I run. It always seems to happen, especially if I haven’t gone for a bit or if I’m not warmed up properly…The back of my knee and calf get really sore and my toes and foot start to go numb…must be something getting pinched back there!

Ok, so I have now officially NOT run in 1 week…what the hell is wrong with me?? Yes, we’ve been busy, but I haven’t been sick, the weather has been fairly good and most importantly:
I HAVE TO RUN A HALF MARATHON IN LESS THAN 4 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, NEED to focus and get my butt out on the paths….I have some serious distance to get in before my “official” HM training program starts in 3 weeks…like doubling my current distance…..YIKES!
OH! The golf tournament supper went really well! The menu included:
- bread sticks and butter (didn’t have any)
- cream of field mushroom soup (about a cup, SOOO good!)
- “Chicken Supreme” (chicken breast, with skin and gravy, about 1/4 cup of mashed potatoes and some carrots, cauliflower and asparagus)
- Dessert - Chocolate Mousse in a little cookie cup, with a chocolate swizzle stick, whipped cream and strawberry SOOOOO RIDICULOUSLY TASTY!
- Oh, and two glasses of white wine and several glasses of water…
So, not the healthiest night of my life, but I rarely attend functions like that so I’m not too worried.
Last night husband and I went for wings tho…I had WAY too many (like 13 or 14 -it was our supper), a vodka/club soda, and ranch to dip the wings in….I suck at this whole dieting thing!
OK, so I’ve been MIA the past couple of days…as well as my running. I haven’t ran since last Thursday and am feeling majorly guilty…and more and more frightened for the half marathon!!!
I can’t run tonight either as I am going straight from work to the Golf Tournament reception for work tonight…where there will be lots of food and booze flowing….crap!
BUT! On the upside, I somehow have a new lowest weight to day! I have dropped another pound ! After a weekend of eating out and no exercise!!!! Oh dear…not good motivation to work out!

Ok, it’s Saturday and I woke up at 7am…WTH? I guess it could have something to do with us going to bed at 9:30pm on a Friday night…oh lord, I’m an old married woman! AAAAAAH!
So just relaxing this morning…Husband made coffee and I’m just checking all my favorite blogs, email, facebook, etc…my stomach was growling so loudly that I couldn’t ignore it any longer and made hubby and I egg and toast. Yummy!
Going to head out to the farmer’s market in an hour or so and hopefully will get some healthy treats…although the two things on my list are honey and the best aged gouda cheese (from a local dairy) EVER! So, not looking entirely healthy yet…
Had a PMS craze last night and had taco chips, fake cheese sauce in a jar and frozen pepperoni pizza…which explains the carb crash at 9:30pm! Despite all the salt and fat, was still 158.4lb this morning so yay!
Hope to go for a run later, as my schedule will be off next week due to a charity golf tournament reception Tuesday night for work…I will have to limit myself to one glass of wine, but at least it will be fun to get all dressed up! Going with my (female) boss, so husband can be my designated driver if I can’t stick to my guns!
Ok, off to wash my face and get looking presentable for the lovely folks at the farmers market. Going out for a friend’s mom’s bday supper tonight, so I can get all prettied up later…

Today’s run KICKED MY ASS! Got the nike + ipod today tho and tried it out…the calibration is way off and i didn’t reset it, so will have to do next run. It errored in my favor tho…said i ran 4.7km instead of my 3.2…sweet….
so today was officially supposed to be a no running but some sort of cross training day…didn’t do either, as we had the in-laws over for a bbq…plus i’m not sure what to do for cross training…any suggestions??
Supper was delish! Beer can chicken on the bbq with onions, orange pepper, zucchini and mushrooms, and rice. Had a little cherry tart for a treat for dessert (MIL brought over) and then another little chocolate square later on (MIL)…whoops! oh well, they were yummy and you can’t turn down baking form the MIL!
