9/11 2.6 Down!

I did pretty well this week.  I started logging everything I eat at Sparkpeople. It’s a free access site that has lots of great advice on exercise and losing weight.  They also have nutrition page where you can track the calories you eat each day.  Love it! I also made sure to drink my water each day.  It was hard the first couple of days but has gotten a lot easier as the habit forms.  We will see what next week brings!

I’m back!

I’m back and focused on losing weight.  I managed to gain back the 9 pounds I had lost over the summer.  I’m an emotional eater and was stressed out over bills.  I am focusing on working out now instead of eating to ease my worries and also have a plan in place to make my budget more manageable.

So, I’m back at 229 and am wearing a size 18.  Most of my wardrobe is a size 16 and I am ashamed to say I can’t wear any of it.  I am determined to lose weight and get back into the clothes in my closet and then get the point where I need a whole new wardrobe!

My mini goals are below:

My Mini Goals

18 pound loss by 10/31/10
34 pound loss by 12/25/10
54 pound loss by 3/03/10 (Trip to Great Wolf Lodge for son’s 10th b-day)
80 pound loss by 6/4/10 (Going to Disneyworld!)

I’ll post my weigh in next week on Sunday!

3/12 Weigh-In 221.5

My weight this morning was 221.5.  Not too happy with that as I am up 1.5 from my last weigh in but it is TOM for me this week.  I worked out today again.  It’s my 3rd workout using the Couch Potato to Marathon workout. I completed the 20 minute workout and then did another 20 minutes of Cardio.  I am happy that I am at least getting my stamina back and can last longer on the treadmill and eliptical than I could a couple of weeks ago.

Will post picks this weekend.  Need to charge up the battery on my camera.

I’m off Mon, Tues, and Wed next week for the kids Spring Break.  We are supposed to get rain a couple of days but hoping to do some outdoor activities on the days we get good weather and plan to go the gym as much as possible.

Middle of the Week!

It’s been a rough couple of days.  I’ve had stomach problems since Monday.  Not sure what is going on but just trying to stay hydrated.  I have stayed within under my calorie limit of 1600 the past three days so I am happy about that.  I also started the Coach Potato to 5K program yesterday.  I am going to workout again tomorrow.  Excited about that!  Will post again on Friday with my weight loss results for the week!

Weigh-In Friday 3/5

My weight for Friday was 220.2.  I will post pictures on 3/12 at my next weigh-in.  :-)

My first blog

Hi,

I am excited to be starting this blog.  I recently signed up at 3FC and feel that I have finally found a true support group that understands the struggles that come along with a life long battle with weight.  I feel that this blog and the pictures of my progress will help me stay motivated and focused to reach my goal.

I started gaining weight when I was 12.  I can remember going from a size 7 in 7th grade to a size 14 in 8th grade.  I managed to stay in a 14 or cram myself in them until I got through high school.  I can remember weighing 121 in 7th, 150 in 9th, and 180 my Senior year of high school.  In my early 20’s, I struggled with eating disorders and used laxatives to purge when I would overeat.  I eventually stopped that and my weight has ranged from the low 200’s to 230’s the result of my adult life.  I have recently come to terms with the fact that I am an emotional eater and am putting other hobbies in place of eating when I am sad, upset, or bored.

I am now counting calories and my daily intake is 1600.  I work out 2-3 times a week and my goal is to lose 2 pounds a week.  I will post my weigh-in pictures and totals each Friday.  I have lost 10 pounds since January and am happy about my progress.

I’m not sure who will come across this but hopefully it will help those that struggle with their weight and in their weight loss journey.
