Day 2: Detox
Now, who else do you know would juxtapose these two things? No one, that’s who.
So, blah day, had a lot going on that has nothing to do with my diet or exercise, really. I did get to the grocery store and bought a ton, hopefully it will hold over till phase two when I can eat meat again. I’m planning on making some delicious sounding pork medallions.
I did, however, make this Red Bean Dip, the recipe I got right here at 3FC. It was, admittedly, pretty durn good, I would definitely recommend it. Although, if I were to make it again, and I would advise: A little less on the black pepper, 1/3 cup of plain yogurt , and maybe (emphasis on the maybe) a pinch more cumin. But overall, it was really delicious and I intend on making it again.
Not much on the exercise front, I’m a little disappointed but it is mainly because I’ve been doing so much housework. Tackled the basement which is cat-destroyed, did some laundry, dishes, took out all the garbage, even cleaned out the fridge and freezer. I still have some time though and I intend on getting another Leslie Sansone session in today since last night’s kicked my butt (and arms).
I did attempt to go for a bike ride. Got 10 minutes on my real bike when my flippin handlebars broke. Inorite? Fricken ridiculous. I thought I was going to wipe out. I pay $129 for a bike, I want it to work, dammit. So I’ve phoned the grandfather and asked him to take a look at it tomorrow (family handyman that one). I did, at least, stick to my diet plan. Pretty much, at least. I don’t know whether or not the chips were overboard. Who knows?
I won’t have much time tomorrow since it’s my best friend’s 18th birthday, and I am going to a Nickelback, Three Days Grace, and Buckcherry concert. All that standing and jumping and screaming should burn some calories ^_~
