I feel that I have started the year off right and I feel really good about it. I’ve actively watched what I’ve eaten and recorded it and I have stayed within my calorie range. I went grocery shopping yesterday and made an active effort to look at everything closely and plan full meals out in my head and break down what exactly I needed and what I wanted. My grocery bill was a lot cheaper this way.
I’m going to go back to my weekly blogging on Tuesdays and my weekly weight-in on Tuesdays. Bootcamp has been going great (yes I know I’m only a week in) but I feel great when I’m leaving and I can tell I’m getting better at the exercises. The trainer weighted us in last night and I was down 4lb from when he first weighted me which was last Tuesday. So I was excited to get on the scale this morning to see what my scale said and no surprise, I was down exactly 4lbs from last Tuesday.
Now these 4lbs seem to be the 4lb that I can also lose right away and they come back just as fast when I trip up. I’m hoping my body stays away from this cycle and I just keep losing.
Right now I am able to take my boot camp on M/W/F since my night school classes haven’t started and I will be filling my nights off with other activities. Tonight’s activity was support to be spinning but I was stuck at work and wasn’t able to make the class. The old Jessica would have just come home and sat down. The new Jessica didn’t, I called my buddy up and we went to the aqua zumba class which was later. I wanted to make sure I got my extra workout in. (By the way, going to a pool on a cold night like today wasn’t the best idea but I feel great about it.)
I wanted to get the extra workout in to invest in myself, the trainer is investing so much in us and I want to turn around and equally invest and make him proud.
My goal for the next 3 weeks is to lose the last 8lbs which will get me out of the 240s. I am still deciding what my January adventure will be and what my January recipe will be.
