So I went to my first bootcamp session last night (one down eleven to go).  I did treat myself to my Starbucks mocha yesterday and had planned to eat a bit of chicken (I cooked on the weekend) with some rice just before my bootcamp.  Need the protien and carb boost.  I ended up having some leftover ground beef with the rice which was an extra 100 calories — but the combination worked to get me through bootcamp.  Bootcamp will only get harder — YIKES!!!  Last night was fitness assessment  - so we did a timed run.  I did 1 kilometer in 9 minutes 2 seconds.  We did pushups — I did 25 and 47 crunches one minute for each exercise.  Lots of other work — running around the sand at the volleyball court.  Relay runs, weights, bands etc etc.  I am just pleased that I had been doing all the training here at work.  The wonderful team we have leading us in the fitness classes prepared me so well for bootcamp.  I have learned to follow directions and the proper stances. 

 Interesting thing was I was positive I would come home famished and eat my salad.  I didn’t get home until just before 8 and eating was the last thing on my mind.  I wanted water and I forced myself to eat a bowl of banana and pineapple — just to get my servings in for the day. 

I survived day one - just hope I can manage to survive the rest of the week.
