Oh the glory!

Today I managed to work out twice AND walk about a mile.  When I got on the scale this morning it read 2 lbs lighter, at 283.  Problem is I am so tired I don’t want to work out this morning ::sigh:: but I will.  Cause I so so so want to go shopping for new clothes and refuse to buy anything until I am at least 1 size smaller!

I am finding that I’m getting into the exercising.  Well I’m getting into FINISHING the exercising!!  Being done and having that rush that I’ve completed something is extremely intoxicating.  But I’ve realized that I have to stretch more.  I didn’t enough the last time and I felt it while working out.  So now I think I will stretch the last little bit at work so I am ready to go when I get home.

I was super proud of my son today, it was his first HS football game.  And he came out pumped.  He made a 40ish yard run during the first possession.  Then a tackle heard the block over on the punt return.  I swear that kid he hit flew thru the air a ways before landing! I was afraid he was hurt, but he popped up.  Several tackles, blocks and short runs later… he got an interception right at the half.  He scored the 2 point conversion after a touchdown that went 85 yards down field and made couple good kicks too.  It was so awesome!

I walked up to the football field and then back home again too, so that was my 3rd exercise for the day.   I did 30 min on the elliptical upon waking this afternoon.  I will go home and do the 30 min dvd routine here in a bit before passing out.  As for food intake, I had a pot of coffee… its a staple of my diet.  Along with a total of 2700 calories, per my “Lose It” app on the iPhone.  My exercise amounted to the burning of 641 calories however so I am over my budget of 1973 by 114 calories.  Could be worse!  And I totally didn’t fudge on any of the numbers of food intakes either.  Gives me more hope that I CAN DO THIS! Per the app, if I maintain this intake I could in theory lose 2lbs a week and be at my first goal weight of 230 by March 2010.  That is so exciting to me, I cannot explain it adequately! lol  For those of you who have an iPhone, check out the LOSE IT app.  It’s free.  And really quite handy!

Ok, off to stretch!!

  1. One of the greatest things I learned so far in this process is liking exercise and the strength it gives me. I want an iphone someday. Sound slike a cool tool. :)

  2. I love my iphone, i really do. the phone itself was a gift, but the monthly fees I pay. spendy but I definitely use it ALL the time. I agree with you that learning to like exercise is a good thing… as irritated as I get sometimes, I am loving that A, I’m doing it and B, finishing it and C, feeling it work!
