Sunday night, my last shift this weekend
Well here it is Sunday at 2am, and my last of three night shifts. It has been a pretty crusing three shifts. Just the usual BS, nothing major.   Car accidents, babies born, lives saying goodbye, nothing traumatic, so just the kind of shifts I deserved after my last set.
We did have a bad drowning thou, and that always leaves a bad feeling. So many people come here on vacation never dreaming that one of them will go home alone. So sad and we see so much of it. Hawaii may be paradise, but Hawaii is a very dangerous place. Our waters are some of the most dangerous of any of the islands. Not sharks, althou we have our share of attacks, but mostly shore breaks and bad currents. And so many that come here are not told by the resort they stay at about how dangerous our waters are, and we have so many beautiful beaches and they can be really deceiving…..and we have so few life guards.
I have managed to stay on my diet all weekend, passed by the junk food at the nurse’s station.  I packed my healthy food and my baby carrot sticks which I am getting addicted to, as well as my string cheese. So no chocolate for me………..yippee!
I have two days off now and I will be painting my living room. My kitchen is now 99.2% done. Just little touch ups of paint and finishing touches and it is finally fookin DONE.
I hate renovations, especially when hubby does them. He does such a good job, but he is slow and messy, he is a slob.100% slob. After we finish the kitchen, lay the new stone floors in the living room and paint the living room, we are going to take the summer off to enjoy our beach, and then we are going to take the laundry room apart and put the laundry room outside where it belongs on an island, and turn our laundry room into another full size bathroom. But we will tackle that in the fall………hehehehe, fall sounds so funny, it is summer here all year round!
Had some fresh bananas from my tree.  MMMM so good.Â
Oh, I am being called to the ER……..
