Meeting with the Dietitian

So yesterday was a kind crazy day. My boyfriend left for San Francisco at 4 am that morning which made me tired and I ended up sleeping through my alarm, causing me to be late for a corset fitting appointment, on the way I got into a car accident (very minor, only a few scratches on both the cars) which then caused me to be so late I missed the appointment all together. Then I rushed to my dietitian meeting and ended up being 30 min late to that. It was only noon by then *sigh* it was a long day

So the meeting with with dietitian was really good! I brought in my food journal and told her the ^ week body makeover plan I was on. She asked me why I was there (to lose weight, but mainly become healthier and at my best) and had me explain the plan I was on (the 6 week body makeover). We went through my past weight issues (see about section) and my relationship with food. This was all a free consultation so we didn’t go as in depth as we will next time. She looked at my plan and did a calorie and nutrition count of a typical day…and surprise I’m only eating about 1080 calories a day and not nearly enough fat, carbs or fiber. No idea I was eating that little. She said that likely my metabolism has started to slow down and if nothing else this is not a sustainable plan. Part of me is really happy to hear this and the other part not so much. first yay!!! for getting to eat more and eat things I like (she noted that I seem to not enjoy food, which is true now), but it sucks that a plan that seems to give me results will have to change and there is no way that my weight loss will go as quickly =( I keep telling myself that it is not how fast I get there but how long I stay once Im there.

So for the next month I’ll be seeing her once a week, starting next tuesday she will have a food plan for me and will be doing some body composition tests on me….cant wait for the results!

So last week I was a bit off my game. I only lost a pound, which is really low for me this early in my weight loss. Though I ate off plan quite a bit and I just started my period, so very likely I am retaining quite a bit. I do need to take new measurements, but I’m hoping to be less bloated tomorrow. I am starting this week with a renewed sense of commitment and hope. I am really excited to meet with the dietician, though really don’t know if I’ll be able to afford seeing her on a regular basis.

Not a great day, but not horrible compared how I used to eat and I went to the Dexter wrap party and think I did pretty decently

Had a very busy weekend and wasn’t able to keep up the food journal…all I can say is I was not on plan and ate why too much sugar. The thing is compared to how I used to eat I was much better, but I am so not used to sugar anymore that I ended up really sick. I think it will actually help me, because I was craving chocolate like no other and now that I have overloaded on it I can get back to healthy eating!

Cant wait till I meet with dietician!!!!

I am getting a free dietician consultation next friday!!! I am so excited. I just want to see if the 6 week diet is really what is best for my body. I am not losing at the rate or even close to the rate they tell you you will and I am starting to get really bad muscle cramps. My body (I guess everyone is the same in this) is very different than average. I’m 5′11″ naturally muscular with a large curvy frame, I am never meant to be skinny and I am quite happy with that. My goal is a size 10/8, but I don’t want to kill myself or completely deprive myself ¬†all the time so I feel like if I meet with a dietician and come up with a plan wherever I land I’ll be happy
