			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I am setting goals to be completed by Halloween. I am in a super funk right now. My goals are journey related and working on creating a better sense of well being right now than I have at the moment. If things don&#8217;t get better now, I can only imagine the depths I will be reaching come winter so I need to pull out of this now.</p>
<p>1. Repaint Orange wall and kitchen then decorate</p>
<p>2. Clean out closet and dressers, pack away clothes that will be useful in the spring/summer and get rid of clothes that are too large/in bad shape.</p>
<p>3. Research new endo&#8217;s as waiting 5 months for a follow up appointment is ridiculous and the clinic has not found a replacement for my doctor even though she left 3 months ago now.</p>
<p>4. Reach the 90 min goal for wii fit in Sept and then shoot for 120 min in October. That means between now and the end of the challenge I need to accrue at least 200 min on the wii fit.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: line-through">5. Try at least 3 new to me foods that I have never cooked before/eaten before, not including the kale in the fridge currently.          </span></p>
<p>Tried Huckle Berries, Marion Berries,  Chinese Broccoli, and Ling Cod fish on vacation.</p>

I keep vacillating between working at it and falling into bad habits. </p>
<p>My goal for September is just to maintain during our vacation but that didn&#8217;t mean I wanted to maintain the whole month. Need to get moving. </p>
<p>Today I am going to try my hand at making some basil/spinach pesto. Should be interesting <img src='http://www.3fatchicks.com/diet-blogs/irisheyes213/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well, I haven&#8217;t been completely focused but I can say that since we got our scale at the beginning of August I have lost 4lbs.  I am ok with that. I haven&#8217;t  been consistent with eating. I saw the scale dip to 271 last week but 3lbs came back. I&#8217;m ok with that as I was barely eating during the big dip.</p>
<p>During September I have a big hurdle, we are going on vacation for 6 days. Don&#8217;t know how that is going to go but hopefully I will be able to keep some momentum going and then at least maintain during the trip.</p>
<p>I am slowly getting back on track. This weekend we rediscovered our wii and I really do want to use the wii fit functions. I just get lazy. But I need to get past that and focus on what I really want.</p>

<p>I&#8217;ve been eating veggies but have also been drinking pop so that causes issues. I have also had icecream lately. I should have just stuck to my guns. The moment I have ice cream I always want it. If I just avoid it, I don&#8217;t seem to crave it. There is none in the house and there hasn&#8217;t been so that is a victory. If I pass that line&#8230; I may never turn back.</p>
<p>Time to get some work done. I hurt my foot again but still need to get yard work and house work done so I just need to deal with it.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It is pretty erie reading my last post. I had so much going on and then in a second&#8230; the world changed even further. I haven&#8217;t updated about Memorial Day weekend because everything went completely out the window at that time. There is no time stamp on that post but it looks like it was posted in the morning. That afternoon we got word that my father in law was killed in an automobile accident.  Things were a bit crazy for that weekend and then for a few weeks following. The home improvement project that I was discussing is just now getting finished. Waiting to see how the stain drys before I call it done. Things have somewhat gotten back to normal but not really because the house is still trashed and now it is even filthier due to the construction dirt. My husband has been incapacitated from an accident that happened on the day of his father&#8217;s funeral.  I still never bought a scale&#8230;.</p>
<p>With all that said, once again, the fridge is full with fruits and veggies to eat. There is a ton of pop that I will need to keep under control but that should be okay.  I have started taking my meds again finally and am now up to 2 a day but still need to get back to 1500mg per day of Metformin. I picked up &#8220;Get fit while you sit&#8221; at the library today. This should help. I can do this&#8230; I need to do this&#8230; I want to do this for so many reasons.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The amount of stopping and starting along this journey frustrates the crap out of me. It is my own fault. I get that but it still is part of the process that I don&#8217;t like.  I have lost all ground again. I pretty much am starting over at the beginning.  I don&#8217;t know what I weigh today. I know that I weighed in at 3lbs below my heaviest at the doctors office the other day.</p>
<p>My scale broke so I can&#8217;t check my daily weight right now. I am trying very hard not to stress eat through a home improvement project and for the most part have been eating at home which helps a lot. Except when dh buys tortilla chips.  We have a fridge full of fruits and veggies that need to get eaten. My focus this weekend is to overeat if I must on veggies and fruit only. Limit bread and potato intake and get some sort of movement in.</p>
<p>I have things that I need to overcome but I have moved passed them before&#8230; what is the problem this time?</p>
<p>Goals for Memorial Day Weekend:</p>
<ul>
<li>Eat at home for at least 2 meals per day and eat reasonably at other meals</li>
<li>Get some time in on the Wii fit</li>
<li>Go to the library on Saturday and check out the &#8220;Get Fit while you sit&#8221; book</li>
<li>Send out packages needed to be sent this week</li>
<li>Order items for next saturday to be delievered</li>
<li>Clean out the fridge</li>
<li>Get the house picked up even more than it has been and get rid of at least one box</li>
</ul>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Last week was a bust as I ended up with the stomach flu or something.  This week I am challenging myself to using the WiiFit 5 times and going for at least 3&#8211;15 min walks. Doesn&#8217;t sound like much but I have seriously been a couch potato all winter and need to build back up to a decent amount of activity.</p>
<p>Brsesay had asked about what I do on the Wii Fit&#8230;</p>
<p>I like the balance games because I definately have issues so I feel that I get a benefit out of those. My fave right now is the tightrope. I finally made it across on the easiest level but I am sure that it is going to take some practice to get back to that again.  I also have been trying out the strength training exercises. Definately make sure there is plenty of room around you because I knocked down a snack table doing a torso twist move.</p>
<p>Dinners for next week are planned out through Thursday&#8230;</p>
<ul>
<li>Homemade Chicken and Dumplings</li>
<li>Grilled Chicken and roasted veggies</li>
<li>Soup and sandwiches</li>
<li>Chuck roast with veggies</li>
<li>Tuna broccoli casserole</li>
<li>Not sure for Friday and Saturday yet</li>
</ul>
<p>Anyhow&#8230; better get moving&#8230;need to get something done today and also have to get some work done.</p>

<p>But, I need a kick in the pants so if she gives me one, I get it.  I need to be working on being on South Beach or counting my carbs. I am not doing either right now very consistently. I would love to be able to lose some weight before we go fishing at the end of June. I just need to put in the effort, though it sucks mightly, there are other things that are more important.  I have 90 days&#8230; think I can make some progress?</p>
