September 4, 2007 - a reasonably good day
Well… I was not feeling so well today morning. Felt feverish because of the cold I have. Still coughing intermittently.
Skipped going to gym today. Also I was supposed to have my monthly measurements today. I have skipped this twice in a row now. Must try to have it done tomorrow or day after. I know I haven’t made a good progress losing weight this month. Need to see how many inches I have lost. But I feel great and most of my trousers have become loose. Got a few compliments from my co-workers too.
I had a pack of instant noodles for breakfast. Not a very healthy choice. But loved the extra pepper I added to it. It did wonders for my sore throat. Had a glass of musambi juice afterwards. Lunch - 3 chapatis, 1 bowl of okra curry, half bowl of curd. Had 2 samosas for evening snacks - that is BAD.
Dinner - 3 chapatis and 1 bowl of okra curry. No after dinner snacks today. Took one apple to office but could have only half. Oh and also had a teaspoon of flaxseed powder in the morning. That’s a regular. I managed to drink my 3 litres of water today.
Not a great day nutrition wise. But did not eat too much. Planning to start eating sprouts for breakfast from tomorrow. Also will try to add lentils to my lunch box. Most definitely need to stop snacking after dinner. Tomorrow is my day to work out with weights.
Brother is coming down this Thursday. Healthy eating will go for a toss for few days. I will try to eat smaller portions and remember to drink lots of water.
There is this Oriya food festival next week. That would be a buffet dinner. Maybe I should give that a skip.

Hi! Thank you for the comment you left in my blog. I appreciate the support. Looks as though you are doing well with your weight loss. I think my biggest problem is once I do cheat a little, I feel like my whole diet is blown. I keep telling myself, that I will start over tomorrow, then the next day, and then the day after that. Until, I thought back a few days ago and I’ve been saying the same thing for 2 years. Anyway, today is the day, I have decided enough is enough. I do not have diabetes (that I know of). I have scheduled several doctor’s appointments to have my blood sugar, blood pressure & cholesterol checked. My father recently found out that he has diabetes. I am really worried what the news might be after my check-up. No matter what, I know I owe it to myself to take care of me. Thanks again for the support. Keep in touch.
