Slowly but surely

CW: 138.5 lbs

My body seems to be slowly going down again. It could be just a mental thing but my 138.5 3-4 months ago feels different than my 138.5 lbs today. I think it’s the exercise that’s helping me because I put on a dress I bought a few months ago that was super tight in the chest area and it’s slightly looser now. I actually had trouble zipping it up when I went up to 144 lbs so it’s a nice dress to measure my progress.

I have so many trips coming up that I’m looking forward to. I also am slightly nervous about them because it’s so much harder to stay on track when you aren’t in your usual environment.

I go to Vegas tomorrow for 5 days with my boyfriend to celebrate our 4 year anniversary. We come back Thursday morning (catching the red eye) and immediately drive to Orlando to meet up with a friend who’s only in town til Friday morning. I really want to see her so I’m going to go regardless of how tired I am. I booked a Disney World hotel since we have the annual pass. I’m looking forward to that Thursday-Friday. I want to come home for the rest of the weekend to unwind. My boyfriend should rest before he has work on Monday and I want to make a belated Thanksgiving “feast” Sunday.

I think I’m going to DC a few days in December before X’mas to see some college friends. I’m then going to Philly and NYC for the remainder of the holidays to spend it with my friends and sister. LOVE being around lots of love during the holidays.

I booked my Asia flight yesterday. My mom wants me back before the 15th because she wants to take me and my brother to New Zealand (sadly, my sister can’t make time to go back). I’m going to be in Taiwan (minus the 10 days in NZ) for about 4 weeks til mid-Feb because my boyfriend has training the first two weeks in February where he’s stuck in a hotel for 2 weeks with his program co-workers. No reason for me to rush back to an empty apartment.

I am so motivated to stay on track because I want to look great in all these trips. My plan of action for Asia is to bring my gym clothes and make a conscious effort to go running every day. Maybe I’ll join a local gym for a month. Everyone in Asia is so petite compared to the States. It’s super hard for me to buy clothes that fit there because they like the Kate Moss waif-look. They seem to think the prettiest girls are those that grow up to look like pre-pubescent women. They don’t celebrate curves like they do in the US. Their mode of diet is mostly starvation and deprivation.

I woke up this morning and made some oatmeal/wheat germ/whole wheat pancakes. It’s super simple just blending the dry ingredients in the blender (1/2 cup oats, 1 cup wheat flour, 2 T wheat germ, 1.5 tsp baking soda), mixing the wet ingredients (1/4 cup eggbeater (or 1 egg), 1 cup skim milk, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tsp granulated sugar) and whisking the two together. You can add blueberries or chocolate chips (or anything you fancy) into them for some delicious pancakes. They make approximately 6-1/3 cup pancakes.

Today’s plan is to pack, clean, pick up dry-cleaning, watch Harry Potter 7 part 1 and maybe shop with my boyfriend. He and I need a few pants/jeans or we might save it for shopping in Vegas. I’ll be staying in the Mirage!

Happy Friday everyone. I probably won’t be posting for a week.
