Christchurch in my thoughts .. among other things

This is a picture of the Christchurch Cathedral a month ago before when my mom, brother and I were with a tour group. We explored several places in New Zealand for about 10 days. I learned from my mom last week that this Cathedral suffered a lot of damage. I also learned that the hotel we stayed at, the Grand Chancellor Hotel, was collapsing last week.

Life is so unpredictable. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this earthquake. I was telling my dad the other day that compared to what’s going on in the world right now, our own problems seem petty and insignificant.

My dream is that one day I can travel back to New Zealand with my boyfriend. He loves the pictures my family took. Our amateur pictures definitely do not do the country any justice. It’s definitely the most scenic place I’ve ever been to. I swear there are more sheep than people. I’ve never been an outdoorsy person but I’m glad that I went.

I wanted to follow up my post from earlier this morning with more pictures. But tomorrow I’ll be weighing myself in the morning with my boyfriend. Last week I weighed in at 140… letsee what the scales tell me tomorrow! I will be back on topic PROMISE! :)
