And just to add to the horror, I took the Health Quiz in Dr. A’s Habits of Health . If you score below 15, you fit in the sick category.
I scored negative 9 . :-O
My job in publishing requires me to think out of the box, and that takes a lot of work. I decided I wanted something IN the box for a change, and something that requires very little thinking, in or out. I’ve got a lot of weight to lose (too many years of eating out of to-go boxes and sitting in my chair), I want to get it off, and I don’t want to spend a lot of time thinking about it.
I Googled the best known, most advertised packaged-meal diet plans. I was immediately put off by the fact that to find out the cost, you have to give them your phone number and wait for a used car salesman type consultant to call you back.
In the end (beginning?), I chose HMR (Health Management Resources). They had a complete price list on their website, there was no contract, I could choose between several options, and best of all, they weren’t pushy at all. In fact, the person I talked to here at my local HMR clinic, asked me if I wanted to think about the program and all the different options before I made up my mind!
My food arrived, Thanksgiving is done, and I just put my first foot in the box this morning.
