7/30/13 Training

It is sad how fast one can go from running for 1-2 miles to not being able to run for 5 minutes.  Last nights training run was 5 minute warm up, 5 minute run/3 minute walk - repeat 2 more times and 5 minute cool down.  I did it but I was slow and ended up running alone AGAIN.  Seems like no matter how hard I try to keep up with the others in the group I can’t!  I try so hard but slowly drop back with each run.  I know I will never be a fast runner - never was.  I just need to keep at it and finish what I started.  We got 2.5 miles done in the 35 minutes.  Maybe I will be able to do the 5K in 30 minutes or less if I keep going like this.  Tomorrow is 8 minute runs - oh my.  I have to keep telling myself I used to do it all the time.
