Eating Well to Feel Well

My journey back to me…..

About Me

I live in Maine with my husband and our dog. We have 2 adult children and various “grand-pets”.

I teach kindergarten and love it.

I also like to hang out with the Teen Pulse youth group. They’re a great bunch of kids, they keep me honest and they keep me feeling young.

I’ve been thin and I’ve been heavy - I like being thin best.

Hi Heidi-
You commented on my blog about pistashios (sic). Can you eat them anytime you kinda feel hungry? I got roasted almonds and they’re pretty tasty. What else to you “snack on”? I eally want this to work this time and am setting small goals for myself.
Thanks. Jan

Hmmm, Jan I can’t remember which blog is yours, now…. *blush* I will PM you, but in case you check here before then, 30 pistachios is one serving of nuts. You shouldn’t have more than 1 serving of nuts per day, but I often have mine in 2 parts, a few in the morning at snack time and the rest when I’m walking around doing recess duty. :)

Other favorite snacks of mine are:
*hommus and red pepper strips (or celery or cuke)
*a rf mozzarella string cheese stick and a can of V8
*celery and laughing cow cheese
*sf jello
*sf fudgesicle
(The jello and fudgesicles don’t fill you up, though, they’re for when I’m looking for a sweet treat.)
