I want to be the “Hot Girl”…
My journey to not be invisible and overlooked anymore! And as big as I am (was) I shouldn’t be invisible…
Bittersweet victory today…

So I had a small bittersweet victory at the gym today…
I was running on the treadmill and I had to keep pulling my pants up because I was afraid that everyone was going to be able to see my polka dot undies if I didn’t.
My favorite work out pants have to be added to the “too big to wear and on the way to goodwill” pile.
Let me explain the significance of these pants:
They’re made by champion and are the PERFECT material for fat girls. They are 88% polyester, and 12% spandex (you can see a pic here: target champion pants), which means that they won’t pill in high friction areas (i.e. between the legs). They feel great on, even when you’re running and sweating buckets in Georgia heat (I REFUSE to do shorts in the summer). Plus, they come in lengths…some brilliant clothes designer realized that tall girls would like workout pants that don’t look like they’re expecting a flood.
This makes me sad. I bought a pair of the cotton ones in a smaller size to replace these (I knew this day was coming), but they are already starting to pill after one use on the treadmill. I went online to target.com to buy some more and of course they’re all out of large-tall. I think they’re about to discontinue these pants!!!! I have a pair of XL- Tall, but I think that those are going to be too big after I lose another ten pounds.
Goodbye, Champion XXL-tall workout pants. I’d like to say you’ll be missed but I don’t know if that’s 100% true.
In other news, that dayum scale seems to have broken at 240. Arrrrrgh (I sound like a pirate right about now)!!! I’m going back to spin class on Monday, hoping that’s the kind of change I need to walk my ass off this plateau. I was kind of disappointed they didn’t have one at the gym today. I did do 40 minutes of cardio today, though. My eating has been on point (no publix cake, icing, nothing in the last few days) so I really need the scale to start showing me some love!!!!
Tomorrow’s another hair day - so there will be no working out. But I’m going to the club afterwards, does that count as a workout? And I do dance, so maybe it does!!!!
