Memorial Day…hopefully I wasn’t too bad…

I had a pretty productive Memorial Day. One of my old friends always says that the condition of your house is an indicator of your mind state. I took the day to clean up the house yesterday, and I must say I felt relieved. I went to the gym and did 40 minutes, woo hoo! I’ve actually been pretty diligent about the gym. I’m ten pounds into my weight loss and I’m starting to see results already. Now for the bad stuff…

Memorial day. The start of summer, ahhhhh. Nothing like some ribs and potato salad to start the summer. Well, I tried to counteract good with bad. I did have a few ribs (2) and about 1/2 cup of potato salad (made with light mayo). I also made some  grilled scallops (mmmmm) and some southwest cucumber salad (which was quite good). I made two chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. The rest of the day I was quite good, I had a banana and H2O for breakfast, and some hummus for lunch. Hopefully my strategy minimized the damage that those ribs and potato salad could have done to my waistline.

I am a yo-yo in terms of weight. I’ve done weight watchers before and I know that it works, so why do I stop counting points? Why do I stop working out? I know that working out has many many benefits, so why do I keep going back and forth? I have to make sure I stick with it again…sigh…

 Until later…. -p
