Sheesh.

This post lovingly titled for my dear friend, K. Welcome back, K!
Sorry for such a late post everyone (a.k.a. Eryn!). I had a night of drunken debauchery on Sunday. Seriously. I should not divulge the details, but it was indeed that. After a nice day off yesterday, I’m back!
Tiny - yeah, isn’t it crazy? When I feel guilty, I get madder. And when I get madder, I can’t sleep. What a way to self-sabotage. I should note that Hubs has been in fine form since our spat. I now love men again.
And Brandie - yes, it’s cold as a witch’s t!t here. After yesterday’s cold dip, any hope that I had for a nice Spring was thrown out the window. Sheesh.
Here’s to a stellar week, girls.

And I’m awake. Finally got to sleep at 5a. Sheesh.
It’s a gorgeous day here today. How’s the weather there? Think I will go outside and enjoy myself. Have a great Saturday, chickies!

And I can’t sleep. No I’m not drunk; just awake. Men suck. Anyone out there?
Miss Universe is, like, smart and stuff.

So it wasn’t a fluke. I was indeed getting fatter. I weighed in this morning at 4lbs above the last time I weighed. April will be my month. I’m going to get in the 70’s once and for all.
I am copying a cool idea that I heard about over on tiny’s blog. So here is pic #1.
11:30a: This is my brunch today. It’s one of those meals I purchased on Monday. Here is their description: Chicken & Broccoli Quiche: A filling, hearty quiche. Larger size portion for brunch or lunch/dinner! Cal: 364, Fat: 22g, Carbs: 20g, Fiber: 1.9, Protein: 13.2g. Yummmmy!
2:34p: I was hungry, so I cooked up my last meal before my Spinning class: Ravioli with chicken, spinach, and vodka sauce. Cal: 254, Fat: 17g, Carbs: 8g, Fiber: 1g, Protein: 17g.
4:30p: OMG I can’t stop eating. Just ate a few handfuls of trail mix. I’m off to Spinning class, then it’s Carabbas tonight.
I rock.

I ate under 1500 calories yesterday, and I’m pretty proud of myself. That’s a biggy for me. Now let’s just see if I can stick with it for the entire week. Who’s doing the SlumpBusters Challenge this week?
In other news, I was thanked for being “smart” today. It felt pretty good. I’m flying high right now. But unfortunately the only way to go is down. Poo.
Update (9:38p): Today’s calorie count wasn’t as good as yesterday (1737), but I finished a killer Step class (45 mins), and I ate only when I was hungry. Tomorrow is my first weigh-in day in about a month. Eeek I’m scared.
Have a good night, chickies.
It’s over.

A Bust
March 30th, 2009
LeConte was a major bust. Remember how I said I was three days late? Well, we traveled down to Cherokee on Wednesday evening. And of course, I got cramps. All night Wednesday, through Thursday, and until Friday I had terrible cramps. We had to cancel the hike, and we spent two days in a hotel in Cherokee in the rain. Maybe in a few years I will understand the true meaning of it all. We did do a few fun things in Cherokee, but other than a pretty cheap rate at a motel ($45 - cash only) and a good What Not To Wear marathon, nothing went our way. I’ve been emailing the lodge back and forth. Looks like we lost our reservation fee - $125/person. They won’t even discount another night’s stay. It’s understood. They had to reserve a cabin for us that they couldn’t rent out again. They had to haul a meal for three up the mountain on a donkey, too, apparently. We may try our luck again in the next few months; I just don’t know how I feel about forking over that much cash again. I’m really bummed that I missed the hike though.
Here are some pics from Cherokee. This is the Bel Air motel. I’ve been to Cherokee many times, but never noticed that all of their street signs are written in English and Cherokee. See the ‘CWY’? That is Tsa-La-Gi (translated “Sah-Lah-Gee”), and it means “Cherokee.”
I ordered a week’s worth of meals from a local restaurant, and they were just delivered to my office about an hour ago. It’s one of those places where you can take cooking classes, or cook your own entrees to take home, or just order an entire entree or a single meal. They create a new menu each week that covers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and for $3.50 a plate, you can order for your family. Pretty cheap, I thought. So I ordered about five days worth of food for Kev and I. The portions look pretty small, but each plate is under 300 calories. I’ve already enjoyed a “Great Granola Muffin,” and it was pretty good for 60 cals. I’m determined once and for all to get this damn weight off. I want to see if it has any positive effect on my cramps. I remember even when I was skinny, I would get bad cramps, but I’ve still got my fingers crossed. The alternative is to just get preggers, and then get a hysterectomy. Damn those cramps. Stop ruining my life!
I’ll be religiously logging my food and exercise this week. Happy Monday, everyone.

Now that I’ve set the DVR to record tomorrow night…
March 23rd, 2009
I’m getting fatter. I don’t know what’s happening. I’ve stepped down the intensity of my workouts, but I’m still walking every night. I’m still sweating at least three times a week. I’m still hiking on the weekends. Yesterday was an intense 2 1/2 hour hike. But I’m still getting fatter. I’m three days late, too. So either I’m preggers or I’m just getting fatter and my body is in shock.
Friday’s hike didn’t happen. The past two weeks have been super stressful, with work crap and money crap and crap crap. It all came to a boiling point on Friday afternoon (on our way to the hike) when the woman at Burger King rejected my debit card. This time it wasn’t lack of funds. About a month ago, I was sent a new card (my security was compromised or something), and I never activated it. And of course they decided to turn off the old one just as I am about to sink my teeth into a delicious Whopper Jr. from BK. And it was like the shit hit the fan. Sure, hubby had a workable card, and I still managed to get my whopper and get it into my gullet, but it didn’t stop the waterworks from a-flowin’. So I told hubby to turn around and go home. When I arrived home (around 5p), we lit up the chiminea, and by 8p we had finished off an entire box of Franzia and were tucked into bed. Franzia, you say? Yeah, we’re classy like that. Needless to say, I felt a lot better the next morning.
So Sunday, we tried our luck at the hike again. Here’s a pic from South Mountain with Small Frye. BTW, we could see the Charlotte skyline from the top, though no pic would do it justice. Pretty dang cool!
