Droggy Friday…

Posted by gottaloose4 on August 23rd, 2008 |Filed Under The end of summer is nearing... |

So the interview went REALLY well last night, I ended up being for a Commercial Listing Company about 25 minutes from my house and right off the freeway, so wouldn’t be difficult from school.  Anyway, at the end of the interview he asked if I could come in today for a 2nd interview/typing tests, and I told him I would, he sd he would give me a call with availability times.  I went to the mall again and bought another “interview” shirt from Express…first time I’ve been able to shop there since high school! Yay me! I think that was the perk of my ENTIRE WEEK!  Anyway I hadn’t heard anything from him by 1:30p so I decided to give him a call to check in, and he sd, “When I sd that yesterday, i was just checking your availability, percisely why I asked for your phone number. When I’m ready for you to come in for testing then I’ll go ahead and give you a call.”  So at that moment I entirely shut down. lol sound so dramatic, but I don’t want to work with ppl like that, and just his demeanor yesterday was just “off.”  So that’s it about that….I started posting my resume to adds again late this afternoon.

I did a tiny swim this afternoon to release some frustration, only about 500 yards (the pool was REALLY full).  Did some housecleaning and then started feeling really blah.  :: sighs :: I think it’s more from being on a high from yesterday’s interview and results and then the saddening affect of today’s conversation and then lack of sleep this week. Some reason the hubby and I can’t get comfy this week…so YAY TO FRIDAY NIGHTS! I hope everyone has been doing EXCELLENT, think I’m going to treat myself to a glass of wine to say goodbye to a crazy week.

Wow, that stinks. But, it may have come across harsher than he intended. I remember telling someone, I’ll call YOU when I’m ready and I could tell he felt insulted, but I wasn’t really trying to. He was following up on a hair show I was putting together. I met with him to use his facility. He called to find out the date I wanted for the show. I did not know yet. I had to coordinate things with the stylist. So I wasn’t giving him the brushoff, there were just other things that I had to put into place before I got back to him. He may still call. Either way, its a good thing you put your resume back out their you do want to keep your options open.

Great job getting back to the pool and housecleaning burns calories too! I hope next weeks looks better for you.

    Have a great weekend!

Some people are just not people persons. He might not have realized his tone or the way in which he worded his sentence. You should always keep your options open though. Something better could come alone any minute.

Awesome that you impressed him so much! But I agree you don’t want to work for people like that, and it’s better you picked up on it before you got stuck in a job with that guy.

    You’ll get better! ;)

I have witnessed that smart real estate agents all over the place are starting to warm up to FSBO Promoting. They are knowing that it’s more than merely placing a sign in the front area. It’s really pertaining to building connections with these retailers who someday will become buyers. So, after you give your time and efforts to aiding these retailers go it alone - the “Law involving Reciprocity” kicks in. Interesting blog post.

One thing I would like to say is always that car insurance cancelling is a hated experience and if you are doing the appropriate things as being a driver you may not get one. A number of people do get the notice that they have been officially dropped by their particular insurance company and several have to scramble to get more insurance after a cancellation. Low cost auto insurance rates are often hard to get following a cancellation. Knowing the main reasons regarding auto insurance cancelling can help owners prevent sacrificing one of the most important privileges available. Thanks for the ideas shared via your blog.
