My weekend was great! We headed to Tally to see our Florida State Seminoles play and then Sunday we grilled out with family and watched our Jaguars play.
Yes, my weekend was still great even though we went to tally to see them lose or we sat through the whole Jags game for the final outcome to be 41-0 - they didn’t score once.
Wikipedia gives this definition: A fan, aficionado, or supporter is someone who has an intense, occasionally overwhelming liking and enthusiasm for a sporting club, person (usually a celebrity), group of persons, company, product, activity, work of art, idea, or trend.
Where am I going with this is that even though both of the teams I am a “fan” of fell short of what they wanted to accomplish and lost over the weekend they still got out there and played the game and gave it their all. I am still a “fan”! So why not be your own “fan”? When I fall short of what I want to accomplish or when I don’t do quite as well as I should have or even could have yes I can get upset at myself like I do my teams but I too need to look to the next game or meal or day and continue to cheer.
Our teams thrive off of our cheers so why not cheer for yourself and thrive from that - I bet in the end we will win as we would have given it our all.
