Pedometer

I was looking back on some of my hand written books where I tracked my progress and I noticed I didn’t exerecise as much as I was before I got sick and something else I noticed I wore my pedometer everyday and got 10,000 steps or more. Why did I ever change what was worjing for me? I am picking up my pedometer and I am putting it back on and I am counting my steps.

L- chick fil a chicken strip salad small fry and a piece of dh chicken sand (no bread) - coke zero

D- going to the sushi cafe - sushi - i love sushi!

0 - steps on my pedometer - forgot my pedometer today

Tonight we are going to the Sushi Cafe for dinner to celebrate my aunts birthday, it’s a new place to me but I love sushi so all should be good.

Not just a song by Tim McGraw but a song that gives me so much sych when I am working out.

My husband asks me this question alot he says its a way of keeping me focused & motivated. He says do you want it bad enough to keep at it even if it means you will continue to hit curves and mishaps.

Sometimes I ask myself this very question when it comes to food or exercise or an outfit I want that is only in a smaller size.

Do you want to see your goal weight bad enough to eat that chocolate cake? Do you want to see your goal weight bad enough to where you don’t want to do your workout for today? Do you want it bad enough to see how stunning that smaller size outfit will look on you? Well do you?

YES I DO!

bfast - oatmeal with natural peanut butter & walnuts

snack - 2 lettuce meat cheese wraps

lunch - shrimp salad

snack - 2 meat & cheese wraps & serving of almonds (got hungry)

dinner - not sure as we will be at comedy show

snack -

0 - exercise minutes

5,039 - steps on the pedometer

I was unable to do my walk last evening. I wnet home from work and went straight to bed with that darn headache. I am feeling much better this morning.

Hubby and I have tickets tonight to the comedy show we haven’t been in awhile considering it was something we use to always do when we first started dating.

 

Back to exercise January 29, 2008

I am officially able to go back to exercising, however I am on a set doc ordered schedule. This week I am only allowed 30 minutes of low to moderate exercise so I figured I would do 30 minutes on my treadmil while I watch the first 30 minutes of Biggest Loser. Boy will I be glad to be able to do this. That is if this awful headache pain goes away.

My Hair January 28, 2008

I have been suffering from these awful headaches so I was hoping by cutting my hair it would lessen some of the pressure I have on my head. So on Saturday I got my hair cut and well it is real short and it feels a ton lighter. I’m not to keen on the style but it does serve the purpose of why I did it.

 B - chicken black bean & cheese egg white omelet with 2 cups hot chocolate

S - protein shake

L - crab meat salad & yogurt with granola coke zero

S - celery w/natural peanut butter

D - forgot to take something out so not sure

S - jello w/cool whip

I’m feeling really good today. Yesturday me & hubby took a 1.5 mile walk around the town center mall. It wasn’t a fast paced walk but it was more than I have been doing since I have been under doc orders, I even got a chance to clean our bedroom and change the bed set to my valentine stuff.

Thats tonights resturant for dinner - Japenese Steak House and I just love it. It is the place my wonderful hubby takes me for my birthday every year and has been taking me there for the eight years we have been together. This place makes it easy to eat healthy.

The scale,  well it read something like this 199

b - 2 egss over medium with boca black bean burger & 2 cups sf hot chocolate

s - celery w/natural peanut butter

l - I am meeting hubby for lunch chick fila chicken strip salad & coke zero

s - cheesestick

d - I’m thinking filet mignon with the scallops & shrimp and salad

s - probably nothing

6 - 8oz glasses of water

I feel real great this morning and with the right attitude I will feel this way the rest of the day as well. Today is the day the doc officially releases me to go back to working out (one 30 minute session this week)

 

Surgeon Appt. January 24, 2008

This morning I had an appt with a surgeon so he can take a look at this knot/lump my doc found on the side of my face about 2months ago.

Pathologist (sp) took 6 needles and one at a time dug them deep into my face/the lump and boy did it hurt - no numbness no anastesia (sp) no nothin but pain. I get my results in 24-48 hrs .

Next week I have to go for a cat scan on my neck & head for this lump as well as for the horrible headaches I have been keeping.

bfast - blackbean onion tomato and cheese egg white omelet with 1 cup coffee

snack - parfait & grapefruit juice

lunch - grilled chicken salad

snack - cantaloupe

dinner - ???? what will it be???

snack - jello w/cool whip

Don’t worry about it January 23, 2008

Just go with the flow - what will be will be - stop putting so much infasist on your eating and exercising and just do it. No counting calories just make wise food choices and pay close attention to portion and I think all will be well.

This is kind of what I have been forced to do being under doctors care. No exercise just plenty of rest and eating the healthiest food possible. But will all this bring a good # on the scale Friday?

b- scramble egg whites with 3 slices turkey bacon & 2 cups coffee

s- 1/2 cup cottage cheese

l- spicy chicken salad & small wendys chili & diet coke

s- cheesestick-couldn’t eat (moldy) so I ate almonds

d- balsalmic baked chicken breast with mixed veggies & 2 cups coffee

s- protein bar

10 - 8oz glasses of water

 

Biggest Loser Tuesday January 22, 2008

I love this show! I have yet to pick a couple that I find a fav and want to win it’s still a bit early in the game.

I am a bit disappointed that I won’t be able to walk on my treadmil while I watch the show. There is still no exercise til next week.

How am I feeling…… an update January 21, 2008

got lots of rest over the weekend, took many naps some were 2-3 hours long. 

Today thus far I feel good. I am going into the office this morning to see how it goes and I with God’s strength will feel well enough to not have to go back to the doc tomorow. All I have to do now is wait for all my test to come back.

bfast - scarmble egg whites with cheese & turkey bacon 2 cups of coffee w/2% milk & splenda

snack - cottage cheese & tomato - cottage cheese tasted sour so I ate a serving of almonds

lunch - chicken strip salad from chick fil a & coke zero

dinner - L/O from cheese cake factory & coke zero

snack - protein shake
