My weekend was horrible - I woke up Saturday 6am with TOM and a stomach bug. I was sooooo sick and spent most of my time either in the bathroom or the bed. I do feel better today but still have lil to no appetite.

 I think TOM explains the 3.2lb upage on the scale Friday but wow 2 days real sick is not the way to loose the lbs.

Why am I not doing what I know to do. Get with the program I will not let you throw your hard work down the drain like it means nothing. Pick yourself up, shake yourself off and get back to it.

 I had a bad weigh in this morning(up 3.2lbs from last week) knew I would with being sick all week and then T.O.M. any second now. This means I have to loose my 5lb goal + these 3lbs to be sitting pretty come christmas morning.

I refuse to go back into the 200’s - I will not go back into the 200’s

 

I just wanna get away December 13, 2007

from the 194.8, from the 190’s period.

In order to meet my weight loss goal by christmas (5lbs) I have to loose 1.6lbs the next 3 weigh ins - that is sooo doable. Loosing these 5lbs will put me at 189.8 and that means I will be out of the 190’s - Yippee! WooHoo!

bfast: 2 kashi waffles with 1/2 cup scramble egg beaters & 1 cup coffee 5tbsp creamer = 310

snack: 2 lettuce meat & cheese wraps = 105

 snack: 1/2 serving of almonds & pice of chocolate crunch bar = 205

lunch: meeting hubby for lunch 

snack: wheat thins & laugh cow cheese = 175

dinner: turkey & tomato pita with mayo

snack: chocolate candy bar dipped into tbsp natural peanut butter

total for the day =

water: 12 - 8oz glasses

The big question is “What will the scale read in the morning?”

Boy am I beating myself up over this weight loss thing I feel as though I wasted a whole week even though I was sick and unable to workout I however ate to much of what I wasn’t suppose to be eating. Yes I know I will get right back at it once I am feeling better but what if it’s to late? What if the drive & the desire is gone?

I regestered on fitday.com and I just can’t seem to get into it. It seems like to much work. The main reason I enjoy south beach is because there is little to no work involved. Don’t think I will be going back to fitday.

 bfast: turkey egg & cheese bagel & 1cup coffee 5tbsp creamer = 365

snack: yogurt smoothie & 1/2 cup cottage cheese = 150

lunch: I ate at sonic (I am a bad bad girl)

snack: natural peanut butter (celery was no good) = 200

snack: chocolate covered marshmallow santa (sf) = 80

dinner: steak & shrimp w/broccoli & cheese & mac n cheese = 590

snack:100 cal pack cupcakes = 100

total for the day =

water: 11 - 8oz glasses

Will not be working out the rest of this week as I need to save my energy to feeling better. Will resume workouts on Saturday if my energy level is back to normal and I am feeling much better.

A lil something I realized:If you don’t watch out the devil will try to bring you down and hold you back from any and all good - the devil tries to get me sometimes especially when I am sick or feeling down about the loss of my dad. The devil tells me that eating the wrong foods and not working out will make me feel better - yes that is nothing but the devil cause I know that eating right and working out will make me feel AWESOME! Devil you will not win here it may take me along time and you may keep throwing your stop sticks at me but I will get to my goal and I will shout thank you Jesus for You are who has brought me to where I am. 

 

I’m Sick December 11, 2007

I started getting sick on  Wednesday and slowly I got sicker. It started with feeling cold and running a fever and feeling achy to stoped up nose, coughing & throwing up. Yesturday was the worst of the worse, not only did I not feel good but I was missing my dad something horribly so all I could do was cry, came in to work and had to leave I was so upset and throwing up so I slept the day away. I guess with all the weeks of me being strong for my mom til now that my system was down I just cracked and my emotions had a chance to get out. Today makes 2 months and we are two weeks from christmas but we will make it through.

 My eating while I was sick & depressed has been horrible. I ate just about everything and drank hardly anything. The scale will not be my friend this week.

Yep thats what I weighed in this morning - down .2 from last week. I was bit worried that my 2 over the top (south beach friendly) banana splits would have done damage. So lets just say I have been maintaining the past 2 weeks

My average calorie intake for this week was 1954 - not to bad

bfast: scramble egg beaters w/turkey bacon & 1cup coffee w/5tbsp creamer = 200

snack: cheese stick & tangerine = 100

lunch: chick fil a grilled chicken sand w/ roasted honey bbq sauce, frys & mayo = 830

snack: 1/2 apple w/npb = 250

dinner: crispers hawaiian flatbread = 895

Today is 7 months practicing the south beach way of life.

bfast: black bean  salsa & cheese omelet  = 225

lunch: left over cabbage & meatloaf = 395

snack: banana & 4 strawberrys = 140

dinner: 2 hot dogs on wheat bun with boca chili sprinkled with cheese 1/2 sweet potato & sunchips= 770

calories for today - 1530

water: 15 - 8oz glasses

workout: 47 min walk/jog on treadmil at lunchtime

I feel tired and achy today - I keep telling myself I will not get sick. Tomorrow is weigh in and I sure hope my lack of working out (intensity) as well as my two nites of banana split will have an effect - we will see

 

Hump Day December 5, 2007

Boy is it cold out. It seems harder to motivate yourself when it’s cold I sometimes feel like just getting under the covers & hybernating like a bear. Unfortunately I can’t do that and I am trying to acheive a goal here so I must fight the cold weather and not let it win.

bfast: 1cup kashi cereal with 1/2 cup 1% milk & 4 strawberrys & 1cup coffee 5tbsp creamer= 350

snack: hard boil egg (it was rotten) so I had a cheese stick & yogurt= 117

lunch: crab meat salad = 265

other: 12oz dark chocolate mocha w/little whip cream = 330 (it helped the cold feeling inside & the  sweet tooth)

snack: 2 meat cheese & lettuce roll ups = 105

dinner: south beach turkey meatloaf, south beach mash potatoes & cabbage = 680

snack: banana split (same as lastnight) = 520

total - 2392

water: 14 - 8oz glasses

workout: 30 min on stationary bike at lunchtime 

 Leg is feeling much better this morning.

 

Biggest Loser day December 4, 2007

I am hooked on this show. All the seasons I have been watching I actually enjoy this season the best. No it’s not because of the show itself but because I myself am doing something about my own weight and I can really relate to what they feel and what they are going through. One day I will be my own biggest loser - of weight

bfast: 1 slice wheat toast with cheese, 1/2 grapefruit & 1cup coffee 5tbsp creamer = 262

snack: celery w/npb = 215

lunch: amy burrito & leftover squash/zucchini = 370

snack:  mozzerella cheese sticks = 50

dinner: chef salad = 500

snack: own creation banana split (banana, 2 fudgesicles, npb, cool whip & crumble up south beach peanut butter cookies) (I think tom is coming as I have a bad sweet carving)  = 625

total is - 2022

water: 16 - 8oz glasses

workout: my intention was to do the treadmil at lunchtime however I got 10mins in and my left leg started hurting to bad so I did some weights & 5 mins on stationary bike total of 25 mins  & elliptical for the first hour of biggest loser - did 41 min on elliptical

My legs are feeling better, my left hamstring is still a bit sore but nowhere near what it was 

 

3 Days at once December 3, 2007

Saturday - this was a busy day for me, had to run a few errands (grocery store, cleaners, pay some bills) then we worked in the yard (cut grass, weedeat, pulled weeds) then we put out our christmas decorations. I didn’t do any official workout and my eating was good so thats a +

Sunday - I woke up with very sore legs from all we did saturday but I did manage to get in a 20 min brisk walk (tried to jog but it hurt to bad) got our home depot trip out of the way and did some more christmas decorating on the inside. Eating was awesome today! 

Monday - Legs are still a bit sore this morning. Toady we are going to get our tree this evening. Gonna do some more christmas decorating inside & out.

bfast: bagel w/3tbsp cream cheese & 1cup coffee w/5tbsp creamer = 340

snack: yogurt & tangerine = 100

lunch: lean cusine pizza & small salad w/1tbsp dressing = 380

snack: 1/2 cup cottage cheese = 80

dinner: medium engine company sub (firehouse) & Chips = 890

snack: peanut butter cup = 410

total for the day - 2200

water: 17 - 8oz glasses

workout: my plan for the day is treadmil at lunchtime & biggest loser video this evening - did 32 min treadmil 3.0 speed 1-15 incline (due to legs being sore) & 20 min bowflex/ab

We ended up eating out cause we got into doing the christmas decorations &  it got to be so late til we didn’t feel like cooking. Didn’t do biggest loser video because my leg was sore
