Back on 12/14 I weighed in at 198 up 3.2lbs from the previous week and after speaking with my wonderful husband about how I felt he told me that anything is possible it’s all in how bad you want it. My mind got to wondering could I loose 9lbs in 11 days or would that be totally impossible and I put myself to the test.

9lbs is the 5lbs I wanted to loose by Christmas + the 3lbs I gained on 12/14’s weigh in. To loose 9lbs in 11 days I would have to loose .8lbs a day and here is my results ……

day 1 12/15 = 198.2

day 2 12/16 = 195

day 3 12/17 = 194.2

day 4 12/18 = 196.8

day 5 12/19 = 196.4

day 6 12/20 = 196.6

day 7 12/21 = 195

day 8 12/22 = 194.4

day 9 12/23 = 194

day 10 12/24 =196

day 11 12/25 = 196.6

The first 3 days of the 11 day test I was sick and then I fell off the wagontwo days ago dealing with christmas and the loss of my dad and it seems all I have done is eat & cry

So how did I do = 1.4 down

I tried yet did not succeed - this isn’t over this is only the beginning. God will get me through the holidays without my dad and then he will continue to get me through to my goal.

MERRY CHRISTMAS & GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Congrats on the loss, and congrats on sticking w your plan for most for most of the 11 days.

You know that healthy weight loss is considered 1-2 pounds PER WEEK, not PER DAY, so your 11 pound goal for yourself was a really really challenging one. I would have been the first one cheering for you had you made it, but it’s important for you to know the odds of making it were not very high. It’s not your fault, it’s our genetics. Our bodies are built to add pounds quickly and take them off slowly. Unfair in today’s world, useful in time of famine of eons ago.

How about a different approach for your next goal? Can you commit to doing your best, your plan, for the month of January? Commit to the timeframe, not to the pounds. You’ll lose as much as you possibly can in that time, being good on food and exercise, but since you can’t control the weight you’ll lose, at least you can focus on the time you stay committed.

I also want to offer my condolences about your dad - it’s really hard to lose a parent, and the holidays can be especially hard w all the memories. Sending you a big hug.
