You can lead a horse to water…….

but, you can’t make her drink…..or get on the doggone treadmill!  I always thought the biggest issue with dieting is staying with on-plan foods and within my calorie limit…but, no…I have to be difficult.  I’ve been on-plan for two weeks now and having no problems with my eating.  My problem appears to be drinking the water and getting exercise.  This is like a giant roadblock in front of me and I just havent been able to make myself get up and push through.  Its kinda weird the way my mind works on this.  I get that “all or nothing” mentality.  A part of me says its okay that I’m not exercising everyday or drinking any water yet because I havent really begun that part of my journey(other than the one and only time I’ve used that bright shiney new treadmill)….so, its no big deal right now.  I havent failed because I haven’t even begun!  I know that my weight loss will slow down dramatically and stop soon….unless, I get a handle on the water and the exercise.  So…..enough planning for it.  Time to get up off my fat butt and get busy.  Today, I will walk on that treadmill for one hour and I will drink at least two big glasses of water.   And, since I will have begun…..I have no more excuses, right?  :D

I have vertigo so a treadmill has always been out for me so all I do is walk the natural way. I know the exercise is the toughest part and I had to build up to it very slowly. For about a month walking with my daughter I was 262 and I could walk very little (also have a bum leg where the veins have collapsed and have to wear a stocking that pumps the blood up the leg for me) but I built up a few more feet and minutes everyday til I could keep up with them. Just start out slowly and work your way up to a specific routine.
I drink water but I am not a fan of it. I make myself do it anyway. A lot of the time I will add a little water to my tea then a little more and a little more til I am drinking 90% water and 10% tea but it has enough flavor to be more than water and that satisfies me enough to get by!
You are fortunate you have the eating part down…I have the exercise part down but have trouble with the eating part. And it takes both to lose the weight!!!
Best of luck on your exercise program and I appreciate you dropping by my blog and posting the encouraging comments!!
Have a great day and a successful weekend!!!
    Hugs,

You have to remember that (per Robin) 80% of your weight loss comes from diet and 20% from exercise. She had read that somewhere, and I really think it is the truth. Unfortunately, I’m not doing as great as I was with diet, but ok with exercise.

I do really well with water. I haven’t always been that way, though. I started out by cutting out all soda, diet and regular. I still drink milk and I gotta have my coffee! At first I was not enjoying the water at all, so I went with using Crystal Lite to break the soda habit. I bought some of those little packets that you mix in water bottles. Then, I cut it back from there. I have a water bottle that I use all the time and I drink 3 per day (24 oz each). I started with having Crystal Lite in every one, then went down to drinking 1 water before I had the other two in Crystal Lite. Then, down to just having the last one with Crystal Lite. Finally, I decided I liked the water better anyway, so it is all just straight water. Long story, but maybe that would help you!

You’re doing so well and I love your new avatar. You look mahvelous!
