I’m back at it. Soooooooooo happily so.
It’s a new day. It’s a new time. I’m reminded of my awesome mantra from April 2008: EVERY BITE IS A CHOICE.
I had declared that October 1st would be a new start and my goal is to lose the 20 pounds that have crept back on this year by December 31st. So, last night when given the option of nachos or fries or raw veggies, I chose the raw veggies. My friend said, “You have a half hour! Eat all the crap you want! Your diet starts tomorrow!” And I replied, “I’ll be grazing on this food for an hour while we sit here and talk and laugh. I’m going to start my day on the right foot.”
And this morning I bounded from bed, did 55 minutes on the Wii Fit, confirmed that I am, in fact, waaaaaaay outside of my comfort zone (no wonder my clothes were fitting so tight; I thought I had gained 15 pounds in the past few months. No. 20. TWENTY).
Not a problem. I absolutely can get back by year-end. I know how to do this and my MIND is right, which is key.
I’m back on the Wii Fit. I’m back at using the Lose It app on my iPhone to count calories. I’m holding myself accountable and remembering that every bite is a choice. I do NOT have to eat ALL of something just because I started in on it!
Here we go! AGAIN. And with a great attitude. Which makes ALL the difference.
