Weigh-in after Six Weeks on BistroMD

Yay!

Six weeks on BistroMD and I have lost 10.6 pounds without feeling like I’m even on a diet. I’ve still had at least two “nights out” (with cocktails, even) per week and my exercise hasn’t been really bumped up yet. Still planning to do that… whenever I finally find the time. (I know, I know.)

Anyway, I’m very pleased.

  1. Great job!!!

  2. Thank you!! :)

  3. 2 days on the program and I am loving it. It is a great improvement over PFFS. I actually feel that I could eat this way the rest of my life (assuming I ever feel like cooking for myself again)!

  4. Well, Kris, that’s AWESOME. :) And it’s exactly how I felt (and, frankly, continue to feel) about BistroMD. It’s delicious and easy and it works. :)

I have to say that I really appreciate your willingness to compare your PFFS and BistroMD experiences, as one of the “easiest” temptations I was having was wondering if PurFoods would be a better choice for me. I’m so glad to know that you see BistroMD as a better plan, so I don’t have to doubt that I’m on a great one. (I suspected as much.) ;)

I weighed myself today (two days early) and am down a pound and a half from Thursday. I won’t update my official weight ’til this Thursday, but it’s just so exciting to be on a plan that works so well and tastes so dang good.

What’s your favorite dish so far???? :D

  5. Keep up the good work. I am hoping to add some exercise this week. I really enjoyed the blueberry waffles and the chicken satay that I had today. I am really looking forward to the chilli that I substituted for the black bean soup I was supposed to have tomorrow. For dinner today, I had sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce. I know I don’t really like peppercorns but I figured that I would try it once. I was right, I did not like the sauce. Also, I am not a big red meat eater, so I will stick to the poultry and seafood dishes going forward. You are not missing much with the steak.

What substitutions do you have to make since you are gluten-free?

  6. [...] once again, I’ve been engaging in a really good comments thread with Kris lately and felt the answers to some of the questions might make for good blog entries, so here we [...]
