Tuesday

127. Eureka! Now if I can just get it to stay there (or maybe even go DOWN!), I’m good for Friday.
Moving:
Abs: 25 crunches. Decided to just do one good set today instead of getting my blood pressure up with the second lame-assed set. 20 bicycles. 1 round of Pilates hundreds, of which two notes: I’m [...]

Monday

129, with the shoes on.
Ya know, the only thing that makes this make sense is if my bod has shut down because it’s pouting and thinks it’s not getting enough food. But I’m too close to the end point here to take a chance on that theory and feed it more.
moving:
Abs: 2×25 crunches, 20 bicycles, [...]

Even the Skies are Weeping

Two of the officers buried yesterday; the third will be buried tomorrow. It’s Good Friday. The world is full of sorrow for what we are capable of.
It seems ridiculous to go on with routines, in the face of evil and grace and impossibilities. But maybe that’s the best thing to do, to go on with [...]

Pressure

128.6
Is it the pressure of knowing next week is the weigh-in? I had that pressure last year but don’t remember this extended period of ‘pound inflation.’ At least I’m assuming it’s inflation. Either that 127 I hit last week was a complete fake-out or this week’s persistent hovering between 128 and 130 is just false [...]

Another Day

129. Honestly, that’s not sensible. Grrrr. I wouldn’t care so much, but was really counting on being at or below goal by this point so that I wasn’t stressed about making goal at official weigh in next week. Argh.
Moving:
Abs: 2×25 crunches, 20 bicycles
Arms: 2 minutes of bicep curls with 5′ weights. Burn, baby, burn.

Brrrr

Spring hasn’t completed its sprung, I guess.
128 this AM on the scale here. Oh well.
Moving:
2×25 crunches, 20 bicycles
3×10 (8′) tricep raises
Probably no walk today. [LATER: I'm gonna try it. If it's too cold, I'll come back and catch the late bus.] [LATER LATER: Yep, walked home. Slowly, in my boots, but I walked.]

2 More Weeks

I am soooo ready to be done with this Weight Race. I’m grateful for the chance to focus on dropping some pounds, but the thing that makes it work — being accountable on a weekly basis, with a deadline after the 12 weeks — also makes it stressful.
Anyway: I did okay this weekend, esp for [...]

Road Trip

Just a ntoe that last night’s plan for supper didn’t work out that well: no food where we went for our drink, so we noshed on crap while drinking a nice glass of red. Crap = delicious brownie and a cocktail mix thing of little pretzels and almonds and crackers. Then definitely needed real food [...]

Long Weekend Ahead

Hopped on the Wii this morning for some yoga and a weight check. Whew. Down again — 125 by Fitty’s measure, which includes a 2-pound grace for ‘light’ clothes. So let’s call it 127 and say THANK YOU.  129 here with boots, so whatever the actual number is, it’s under 130, and I’m relieved.
Long weekend [...]

Whew

The scale is back to 128 this morning. Whew.
But I wonder what that was all about….. The weekend pizza leading to enormous water retention? Stress leading to serious flat-out body retention/protection?
Moving:
Abs: I did 50 crunches this morning, but it wasn’t pretty. Why are they so hard now? Also did 20 bicycles.
Arms: 3×10 bicep curls, 8′
2 [...]
