2009 — Woohoo!
I’m giving myself a gold star for maintaining my weight this past year. I’ve gained a few pounds over the holidays, sure, but I’m about where I was at the end of last year’s ‘race’ and am ready to get rid of the holiday poundage plus a few more for good measure. I do need to think about what “a few more” means to me right now so I can register an official goal tomorrow or next week. I’d like to get down to a number in the 120s that I can keep steady. That is, not something that’s a stretch and not maintainable, but something that’s realistic and still makes me feel good. 127? Too ambitious? Not ambitious enough? I’m about 5′4.5″.
Just did a quick Internet search on ‘ideal body weight.’ For my height/age/gender, the ‘ideals’ range from 123 as the Robinson formula ideal for me and 127 as the ‘general opinion’ ideal weight for me.
I could split the difference and shoot for 125. Hmm. Am I ready for that?
