Weight: 165.0
Ok, so I’m up over half a pound from yesterday. My calories: 880. I exercised. My calories in previous days were not low, but in the 1200 to 1600 range. This doesn’t make sense. Yes, TOM is still here, but this isn’t normal for that. My sodium is low, I’ve been watching it carefully. I drank at least a gallon of water yesterday.
I have a doctor’s appointment on Thursday to get my medical certificate signed for the marathon (they require it.) I’m going to request thyroid testing. My mom has hypothyroid, she was diagnosed with it in her 30s. I looked up the symptoms and it could explain A LOT!! Unexplained weight gain or trouble losing weight, depression, fatigue… this could be the missing key. Since I cut out the gluten, my mood has been MUCH better. I’ve noticed that the negative self-talk has quieted way down. But I am tired ALL the time. I get 8-10 hours of sleep a night. And I spend a couple of hours in bed vegging before that. I come home from work, give the kids instructions for dinner (I feel cooking dinner is an important life skill and my three oldest ages 18, 17 and 13 are more than capable) and I change into jammies and climb into bed. My 8 year old sits at the desk in my room right by my bed and he works on his homework while I blog and do whatever. This is where I read to my two little ones their bedtime stories or we snuggle and watch tv. I eat dinner here. I am just too tired to sit at the table.
This means I’m usually in bed by 7 pm, 6 if I get home early enough. I’m usually asleep by 9, sometimes I can stay up til 10 if Biggest Loser or Desperate Housewives is on. Often I fall asleep during a commercial break and miss the end of the show.
I wake up between 5:30 and 6 am.
I’m late for my morning run. 3 miles today. I’ll check back in later.

definitely sounds like something is amiss if you are in bed by 7 pm every night and still dead tired.
That said, ANY time I go below 950 calories in a day, my body holds on for dear life, and rewards me with a gain or staying exactly the same. I can ONLY lose weight in the 1,000-1,200 calorie per day range. Our body’s chemistry is a weird, but wonderful thing. It won’t easily let us starve, even for a day.
Also you might want to get a sleep study done to make sure you ARE sleeping- I have sleep apnea and use a CPAP- before that I was super exhausted and would sleep ALL the time- but found out I would stop breathing 10 times an hour- so I never went into REM sleep. Even now I’ve been having issues with my sleeping and will get another sleep study done soon to figure out the problem.
Good luck on your marathon!
I hope your doctor can help with your exhaustion
880 calories seem low for someone so active though! Hope you are getting enough energy from your food!
Happy New Year
Thanks a lot! That is a nice article. Some sound advice here - people should never take for granted that their back problems will take care of themselves - as they won’t. Again thank you for all the detail.

Nice article. Looks good to me. Thanks a lot for the insights. It is nice to experience some people still put effort into handling their websites.
The reason why you’ve got back problems is because your body and spine have been pulled out of their normal position and into what we refer to as dysfunctions. When you’re like most people, you move around and carry on with out actually knowing that you are forcing your entire body to cooperate with all these dysfunctions, and ultimately your body breaks down. I found some good information worth looking at for those who wish to avoid expensive doctors:relieve back pain at home
Losing weight is just so dangchallenging. I know so many people who struggle with it and I would too if I wasn’t such an exercise freak. That plus putting good things in your body have been the only ways I’ve found too keep the weight off.
Nice work! Those dudes at your competition (you know who) don’t even have a clue! Keep it up! I have a Sleeping Blog site of my own at Natural Sleep Aid… I will place a link back to your post. Much Thanks!
Is all your info correct? I am not trying to be a jerk, however I don’t see how this makes over all sense! I often have to check the same silly things out for myself on my own Sleeping Information site, here… Natural Sleep Aid… but what you wrote is important, and I will place a link back to your post. Much Thanks!
Very helpful post. Very clear commentary and suggested phrasing are most impressive, as are his and your generosity in sharing this explanation and example. I would also encourage everyone to bookmark this page to your favourite service to help spread the word. Thanks.
Pretty interesting post. Couldn’t be written much better. Browsing this post reminds me of my old friend. He constantly kept babbling about this. I will forward this post and I’m pretty sure it will be a good read for ‘em. Thanks for sharing!

The Kreg Jig takes advantage of a technique called Kreg Joinery. Unlike other techniques, Kreg Jig requires no glue, no complicated math, and no small army of clamps to make wood joints that will last.
Thank you for another great article. Where else could anyone get that kind of information in such a perfect way of writing? I have a presentation next week, and I am on the look for such information.
Couldn’t be written any better. Reading this post reminds me of my old room mate! He always kept talking about this. I will forward this article to him. Pretty sure he will have a good read. Thanks for sharing!
That is very sublime stuff. Never new that beliefs could be this varied. Thanks for all the enthusiasm to extend such helpful information at this site.
Recently, I didn’t give so much thought to writing comments on blog entries and have left comments even less. Checking out your insightful page, will probably encourage me to do so more regularly.
Hello, this is my first time i visit here. I found so many interesting in your blog especially on how to determine the topic. keep up the good work.
