Weight: 163.8 (eh, could be worse, right?! Has been worse, definitely!)
I RAN 9 MILES THIS MORNING!!! You can read more about that HERE.
Suffice it to say, I feel fantastic! Paris is ON! I can and will run a full marathon in 14 weeks.
In fact, I’m signing up to run a half-mary in February through Golden Gate Park. That’s only 4.1 miles further than I ran today (only 4 miles, I know right?! Like that is nothing. And yet, I’ve gotten to the point where I know I can do that!!)
This is my year! I have approx. 40 lbs left to lose. The same 40 lbs I needed to lose last year. Well, they are outta here. I’m done. This is it.
My training schedule is full board and that combined with some yoga I need to do for my knees and quads more than takes care of the exercise portion of my program.
Gluten is gone. Eliminated. I’m a Celiac, which means I’m allergic. I can’t ever have it again. Ever. And I’m ok with that. It’s bad for me, makes me literally very sick. I hate feeling like that. So this is a positive.
I’m toying with the idea of vegan. Just because I eat vegetarian frequently anyway. But I do like meat, especially chicken. And bacon!!! YUM!!! (yes, I’d be the world’s worst vegan!!)
However, since I live in Marin County, California - the land of hippies, granola and all that is tofu, becoming a gluten-free vegan seems soooooo cliche!! And I do hate cliche!
Tomorrow is cross-training day. That’ll be an hour and a half on the elliptical, followed by squats, crunches and some arm work.
I bought brown rice and mixed frozen veggies to have for lunch tomorrow. I have a big bag of clementines for breakfast. Dinner will be oven roasted acorn squash (I do love that stuff!!) See, I’m practically vegan without even trying!

9 miles! YAHOO! Take care of yourself tomorrow! I hope it’s a rest day!
You’re like me. The idea of being vegan is so incredibly tempting, but I cannot for the life of me give up bacon. And I don’t quite think being a bacon-eating vegan quite cuts it!
Good Lord do you kick a, or what?!?! I’m beyond impressed!

That’s awesome! Way to go
