A.M. Weigh-in: 147.0 (almost back, baby!)
Today was a good day. I got a MAJOR to-do checked off the list. One I’d been procrastinating for over a year. That feels REALLY good. Then my four year old and I had some pancakes and tea (she had the pancakes, I had the tea) at a little cafe downtown. I love spending that kind of one on one time with her. I need to do it more often!
After work, I hit the local library and got a library card! Yay! That’s one more thing crossed off the 101 in 1001 list. And with that library card, I checked out Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (by Roald Dahl), another one of my 101/1001 is to read that to Sean and Skye. So I started THAT goal tonite too.
Now, I’m enjoying a cup of fat-free hot cocoa (25 calories and 0 points!) and watching Hell’s Kitchen. It’s a great end to a great day!
Tomorrow, I have a hair appointment: trim and some highlights or low-lights, haven’t decided for sure yet. Just need a little sprucing up before we head to New York in about 10 days! The greys are really starting to show - it ain’t pretty! Next week will be a manicure and I’m hoping to squeeze in a facial cause I sure do need it!

Hey, lady! Don’t you love Hell’s Kitchen? Watching them shuck all those scallops sure took the edge off my hunger! I can’t wait to see Lacy and Colleen get dumped. My grandkids know more about cooking than those two.
I’ve never been to New York. I’d love to but it just seems to be one of those trips we never get around to. I love New York, New York in Vegas but have a strong suspicion it’s not the same.
I quite enjoy that sugar free cocoa. I doctor mines up with some instant coffee, vanilla extract and cinnamon. Yummo!
I also enjoy dates with MY 4 year old. Isn’t that the best? We love visiting the coffeehouse together, I admit to drooling over his cookies or muffins - I just sip my espresso and act like I have control.
How about highlights and lowlights? I love the look of the two combined!
