I feel like kickin’ my own ass now

Since my last post, all of two days ago, I haven’t worked out. Seriously, WTF is wrong with me?! I have been insanely tired. I slept for almost 11 hours last night. I did toss and turn a lot. And Sean is coming down with a cold so he coughed a lot and I had to get up and give him a couple of puffs from his rescue inhaler. But I feel like I could curl back up in bed and just sleep for a week. I’m exhausted.

I’ve also had a small nagging headache for days now. At first, I was perplexed. But last night I realized what the source was. I’ve cut way back on Diet Coke/Coke Zero. Like, I didn’t have any yesterday at all. I’ve been drinking several cups of green tea during the day, so I thought that sufficient caffeine. But I’m sure its not near the amounts I used to consume, which is why I have a small nagging headache instead of a full-blown migraine (to which I’m prone, unfortunately.) Could this account for my fatigue as well?

Also, TOM showed up Friday morning - and I use him as an excuse waaayyyy too often. Especially since other than being tired and just the very mildest of back cramps, I feel fine. No crazy cravings. I’m a bit bloated, but not overly. I don’t feel “crappy” - I just don’t feel like doing anything.

I have been eating right, making sure I get a minimum 800 calories a day. I know I need to eat more like 1200, but I have trouble hitting that number. I’m not sure why? I’m not really hungry anymore. Not that I ever really was. A large appetite is not why I gained all that weight.

Today’s confession: I’m sitting here fantasizing about Twinkies.

  1. Yeah, laying off the caffeine will do that to you. One time, I felt terrible for about 3 days. Couldn’t figure out why I was so exhausted and didn’t have any energy at all. Found out DH accidently bought caffeine free coffee.

    Be careful with those calories. I’m struggling with the same thing. Hard to make myself eat 1200 but I’m trying.
