4.5 Miles July 9, 2009

So I decided to take a 60 minute walk with my husband. I know it’s a little much for starting out. But I feel rather active anywho. I made it and I didn’t die. Although I noticed this odd phenomena near the end of the walk. See I don’t sweat. Never have, probably never will. Although after I got the tatoo on my foot, now my hands and my feet seem to…..weep. I dunno but while wlaking my hands felt like they were going to explode. Literally my fingers got very tight, I felt as though I couldn’t move them. I thought it was from being dependent for an hour. I also thought it’s cause I have bad circulation and I’m just not used to blood being in my hands and my heart was working to pump so it was actually getting to my hands. I dunno….Imma post it on the forum see if anyone else knows what I’m talking about, and I guess I’ll bring it up to my doctor. When I get a new one :|

I’m so proud of myself. That’s more then I’ve ever done!! I still want to do my typical 45 of wii fit tonight. I just think I might add a walk  3x a week??

Motivation

I have a monkey on my back…it’s name is exercise. I’m just not in the mood to do it.  I’m trying but I just don’t feel like doing it. I need set times to do stuff. I can’t exercise if I’m full. I can’t take a walk after dark. I don’t want to go alone. I could come up with a list 2 feet long about why I can’t exercise and the only a few for me to exercise.

  • Because I want to be healthy.
  • Because I want to be pretty.
  • Because I don’t want to let the 3FC ladies down on the exercise forum.
  • Because I want to have children naturally and my best chance will increase if I lose the weight (07.13.09)
My goal for this next week is to do my exercise and come up with more POSITIVES to do exercise. Perhaps I’ll put a thread on the forum for people’s positives. And perhaps periodically I’ll come back and update this little doo dad and add some more positives. I’m also going to think about starting an exercise post like my food diary post :D
I’m just a fat n happy young woman on my way to healthy, one step at a time, one bite at a time, and punch at a time.

Breakfast

2 Flour Tortillas - 150 cal.

4 slices of Turkey Bacon - 140 cal.

2 Lg. Eggs Scrambled - 184 cal.

2 T of sour cream - 35 cal.

1/4 c. Cheddar Cheese - 80 cal.

1/2 c. Tomatoes - 25 cal.

1 Raspberry LnF Yogurt - 60 cal.

1 spray of cooking spray - 2 cal.

1 glass of H20 - 0 cal.

Snack

1 nectarine - 60 cal.

1 tsp splenda - 0 cal.

2 glasses of ice tea after my walk - 0 cal.

1 huge glass of ice cold H2o - 0 cal.

Lunch

about 4 oz. breast of a quarter of a sm. broiler, I didn’t eat the skin so I’m sure it’s less - 123 cal.

3/4c. Steamed Vegetables - 40 cal.

1/2 c. Green Beans - 20 cal.

1 tablespoon of coleslaw - 12 cal. (THANK GOODNESS I PASSED)

1 tablespoon of corn casserole - 14 cal. (Thank goodness I only had a bite)

3 slices of banana - 27cal.

2 sm. strawberries - 4 cal.

2 apple slices -  16 cal.

1 slice of angel food cake - 142 cal.

2 T of Sugar Free Whip Cream - 20 cal.

1 tiny square of brownie (which I only ate because she set it in front of me and I smelled them and I had to have one and she had convienantly cut them into tiny pieces and I ate it and it didn’t even taste good - 60 cal.

1 bottle of H20 - 0 cal.

Snack

1 c. fresh blueberries - 84 cal.

1 T Splenda - 0 cal.

1 glass of high quality H20 - 0 cal.

Dinner

1 sm. banana - 72 cal.

1 english muffin - 130 cal.

1 T sour cream - 18 cal.

7 slices of Thanksgiving Style Turkey Breast - 60 cal.

1 triple fudge brownie (the new little debbie ones) - 100 cal.

Wknd Bliss July 3, 2009

Hello all,

Unfortunately today I’ve had a bagel pouch 330 calories and 2 cups of apple juice 220 calories and 1 handful of popcorn I don’t even know what to count it as. That’s why i’ve never been good at calorie counting. I’m more of a grazer then an eater. It’s 420 and I can’t decide what to make for dinner. But I just wanted to throw in there that over this weekend I’m pulling a 12 hour shift on saturday and a 12 hour shift on sunday. I may post something saturday night but i’ll likely be back on sunday night  if I’m still alvie :D

Goal Look: The “fat” jessica simpson while I know I’m never going to be that short i LOVE her curves and I too want curves :D

The rest of my consumptions for the day!

1 chicken/black bean/ corn taco salad with 5 corn chips crumbled on top

Lettuce, a tiny bit of tomatoes and onions

Homemade Guac with lemon juice, tomatoes, and onions and of course 10 chips

Night snack of more Guac (so it won’t go bad) 10 Chips

1/2 a Mango

I also had 2 Diet Ruby Splash Sierra Mist’s and a bottle of water!

Hello,

So I know in the reality of things, I’m writing this blog for myself, especially at the beginning. I’m really looking for an accoutnability partner or group who will be like now Mira Mae did you exercise today.

So today is day 1 and I pretty much just woke up and decided that July 2, 2009 was going to be the day I decided to be healthy and try a bout at losing weight again.

Yes I’ve tried this before but not with such motivation. I haven’t had a huge aha moment. I just got married, I want to have children and I don’t feel like thats a possibility at my present weight.

I’m a generally healthy individual but I know HTN and DMII is around the corner if I continue going the way I am. I will be a BSN-RN in a month or two and who am I to tell an individual they need to lose weight if I myself am overweight. That’s a blatant oxymoron!

So currently I am:  304lb 5′5″ with a BMI of like 49 (WOW!)

I’m at the heaviest I’ve ever been in my life and I would like to keep it that way. I always vowed to never go over 300 and I’ve let myself down so I’m going to nip it in the butt and get down to my goal weight. I know it’s not going to happen over night it’s going to take a long time. I don’t have a gym membership or a treadmill at home, nor do I have the money to purchase any of these right now. What I do have is a couple TAEBO DVDs and WII fit as well as endless opportunities to go on walks outside :D

I’m going to be working on updating my musical play list so any suggestions would be helpful!!

I”m going to logg my food and my exercise here! So feel free to comment on what I could have chosen better, or what I could have done more. I need it.

P.S. I’m on a very weird schedule. I wake up at like 1130-1pm everyday. I’ve  been very ill these last few days so It’s even more messed up. Also a note about today, I wasn’t planning on starting a diet or anything like that. :D I also want to try to get in all my water 64oz. I tend to not drink all day and I know half my hunger is thirst :D
