Wow, my titles are oh so inspiring aren’t they :)

We won our game last night! WOO!! It was definitely tough. This was the team I wanted to beat though b/c the people on the team are just… I don’t know… annoying. One guy was on our team last year and keeps on and on about how we didn’t ask him to be on our team this year (because you are annoying dude). The others are young and cocky. It’s funny b/c this league is comprised of most of the Saturday night players that we’ve been playing with for years with a couple of other teams of random people mixed in. So you know before even starting who you want to beat… and this was my team to beat. We would have never heard the end of it if we hadn’t.

I’m tired today though. Not sure what I will do for exercise today b/c it is COLD here! I don’t get it. I have a sunburn from sitting out in the sun too long on Sunday, and now it’s cold. My son has soccer practice tonight so that cuts into my time… but there i go making excuses and my thing to give up this week is making excuses so I’m just going to have to find something to do!!

Water: 101/80
Breakfast: Eggo Nutrigrain lowfat waffles w/ banana and PB - 295k
Lunch: Jerk Spiced Seitan - 300k blood orange - 86k
Valid Snack: cheese stick - 86; smartfood popcorn snack pack - 120k (OMG - have you had these — SO GOOD
Dinner: Lean Cuisine Pizza - 350k
Exercise: 50minutes 130/275
Total Calories: 1275k I AM HUNGRY!

I must say, dinner was tough for me because everyone else was eating real pizza!! I ate my lean cuisine pizza and did NOT eat another peice of their pizza. I ran 1.5 miles today. I really wanted to try the 2 miles, but my lady parts are hurting a little when I run. I stopped and debated at the point where I either go straight for 1.5 or turn for 2 miles. Blah.. I hate that because I was up to 3 miles!! Now I feel I’m back at square one!! ARRRRGGGGHHH!!! Oh well, I have 2.5 months until the Candlelight Run getupnow and I are planning on doing. Hopefully I won’t be a dissappointment to her when I get there!!!

I haven’t seen our slump buster challenge yet but it isn’t stopping me!  I have my water ready, I ate a healthy breakfast (haven’t done that in about 3 weeks), and I’m ready to go!  Not ready to work though obviously since i’m updating my blog instead of working.

Okay, so I just saw this weeks Slump Buster Challenge.  Oh the cruel and unusual punishments you ladies come up with.  275 minutes of exercise this week (I like the mile challenges better), clean eating, 80oz of water, giving something up that hinders weight loss, and doing something different exercise wise.

Not sure what I am going to give up.  The different exercise routine?  Well, I will keep running all week, but I may go play volleyball tonight since our league is starting up.  Our game is at 9pm so hubby and I have to figure out which one of us is staying home since our kids will be in bed long before that.  I may start doing Debbie Siebers again.  I need to tone up a bit and she helps.  And my clean eating will be staying within my alloted calories, diet coke ONCE A DAY only, and staying away from snacks!

 
Water: 101.4 + some/80   HELLS YEAH BITCHES!!!
Breakfast: Eggo Nutrigrain lowfat waffles w/ banana and PB - 295k
Lunch: Jerk Spiced Seitan - 300k blood orange - 86k
Valid Snack: 1 string cheese w/ 1 fat free flour tortilla - 186k I say this is valid b/c I will be low on my calories if I don’t eat it, plus I am going running in a little bit so i needed something.
Dinner: Dinner is going to be the Oven Fried Chicken Thighs with Buttermilk-Mustard Sauce that getupnow made last week. Which is funny since she is making something I’ve made before as well. Anyway, Chicken thighs - 378k, 1/2 cub stuffing - 160k, broccoli - 30k
Exercise: 80/275: 20 minute run + 60 minutes volleyball (we won by the way!)

 

Total Calories end up being: 1455k   I could make it lower by not eating the stuffing, but since I’m going running AND playing competitive volleyball tonight, I feel justifed in consuming it since I’ll burn it off quickly.   I finished my water consumption!  Now I wonder….  how much diet coke can I drink in one sitting?!  :lol:

Yes, that’s correct.  I’m backing out of this week’s Slump Buster challenge.  No, no… I’m not scared.  I’m sure I am quite capable of completing it…. HOWEVER, when I signed up I forgot that I am having minor surgery tomorrow and will therefore be down for a few days.  There will be no exercising on my part for a good portion of this week.  Since food will be taken care of by my husband (oh, the horrors!!!) and my mom and grandmother (thank god..my kids won’t starve now) I will be a the mercy of others.  Who knows… I may not even want to eat.  I may survive all week on water and painkillers.

I’m taking my trophy and going home

That’s right.. I’m done. I finished my 10 miles today. I had the BEST. RUN. EVER!!!!! I found a good beat on podrunners off itunes and i did it. Ran the whole time — 3 miles!! WOO HOO!! I’m taking my trophy now b/c I know that I’ll be able to resist the snacking and drink only one diet coke tomorrow.

Good luck sisterchicks!! And if anyone does those jazzersize videos… I want to know about it!

188.6!!

HELLS YEAH!!!

My size 16’s are starting to be a little loose, but the 14’s aren’t quite there yet.  Almost… almost.  Some of them I can get on and be comfortable.  Some of them I can get on but not button.  Don’t you wish that sizes were universal.  If you are a certain size, then EVERYTHING that is made in that size should fit you.  Ugh…

Anyway, day 3 of Slump Busters is off to a rocking start.  SmartWater was on sale at my grocery store and for some reason, I love SmartWater.  I know, water is water is water, but I like it.   SO I bought 3 huge bottles and one is sitting pretty on my desk.  Not sure if I’ll run/walk/whatever today or not.  I only need 2 more miles, so I might bust them out today.  I’ll defintitely NOT be riding my bike (see yesterday’s post).

So today I resisted the temptation to run to 7-11 with a co-worker. That would have wiped out my clean eating goals because 1. I would have gotten a luscious, icy diet coke FROM THE FOUNTAIN (which are better in my opinion) 2. I would have gotten some sort of salty snack I didn’t need. Although I really want one or both of these quite badly, but I am resisting… I can wait until dinner for my diet coke.

Plan on going for a run with my friend today. I may ride my bike to her house, run her 3 mile route, and then bike home. That will give me just about 7 miles, so then I will be at 8 miles for the week! Of course that is best case scenario. Worst case is that i will do a measly 2.

UPDATE:   Oh you guys are going to LOVE this!  So, I rode my bike to my friend’s house today.  Round trip it’s 3.41 miles, so a little over a mile each way.  I noticed when I was almost there that my pedal was a little wobbly, but it was better than the metal grinding sound i started out with.   My friend and I ran our 3 miles (gasp!) and I started for home.  I was one block from HER house when… yeah, left pedal fell off the bike.  And I’m not just talking about the footpad, I’m talking the WHOLE pedal.  So.  Now what?  I called my husband and said.. “hey, come rescue me or I won’t be home for awhile.”   Do you think he came?  No… I just started walking figuring if he did come, I’d find him somewhere.  Yeah, never happened.  But it’s okay.  I mean, I wasn’t THAT far from home, PLUS I needed the mileage.   So to recap… I rode my bike a little over a mile, ran 3 miles, and then PUSHED MY BIKE HOME a little over a mile.  I feel like giving myself double mileage for that.  But I won’t.  So that puts me at just under 8 miles (it’s like 7.92) or somethign like that for the week so far.  I only need 2 more to go!!  WOO!!  And as for snacking… I am on track with that as well!

My clean eating plan for the week: no unnecessary snacks (meaning if I need them to get to 1200 calories, they are okay — if not, they are off limits) and WATER!! Only one diet coke per day. I had gotten off my water track lately.

I’ve been good today. I’ve had no snacks as of yet, although the time between getting home from work is the toughest time for me. However, I am no where CLOSE to my calories so I should be okay having a banana. And I have not had any diet coke yet. That will be with dinner. And it’s probably why I am so freaking sleepy right this second… like seriously trying to keep my eyes open at my desk.

As for the 10 mile challenge, I will be getting in 2 tonight with my friend. I have updated my ipod so i have some new running music.

UPDATE    So I did a measly 1.5 miles today.  UGH… I’ll need to step it up the rest of the week.   As for clean eating… I have only had one diet coke today.  Actually, 1/4 of one… I’m still nursing it.   I had one snack when I got home..  a banana with PB and a slice of turkey.  Totally okay because i knew I needed the protein for my run.   Of course I haven’t had dinner yet.  What i cooked didn’t turn out at all, then i almost burned the house down heating something up while I was in the shower… so hubby was going out to the store and he will bring something home.   BUT, my clean eating challenge is snacking… so no matter what i eat… I’m in the clear!  HA HA!!!!

I did finish my 10 mile challenge on Thursday of last week… HOWEVER…. I was without any internet access due to a bad modem at our house and my friend being in town and travelling, blah, blah, blah…. 

Anyway, I wasn’t able to post it, SO, I will leave it up to you guys to let me know if I need to post my bathing suit photo as that was the penalty.  I’ll suck it up even though I did finish it.

 I would just like to comment on tiny2b’s comment to me….    I have been without a computer for a few days b/c my friend is here and we have been out late.  BUT… I ran 3 miles yesterday (literally I ran the entire time except for 2 minute phone call) and my thighs are KILLING me.   I also walked 2 miles on THE BEACH today.   SO… I only have 3 miles left which I will probably finish tomorrow.  Although we are going to City Walk tonight and with the amount of walking we do, I may just finish tonight.  SO THERE!!  Can’t wait to see y’alls bathing suit photo :)
