This week has been CRAZY!! Work was nuts, kids were nuts (as always), family was nuts… but I did all my challenges. I refuse to post NKOTB on my page though… sorry. :)

I was going to do next weeks challenge and start a Slump Busters page, but I know that Angelina is already going to be doing it. SO… week after next, there will be an all new Slump Busters page that we will be able to go too. We can give people permissions to be authors and whoever wants to do the next challenge can just email me and I’ll make you an author. We are hoping that maybe this way, other people can find the page and maybe we can keep this going for awhile. This will give me a week to work on it as well.

I must say that running has helped me out a bit. I was able to outrun my husband today when he was trying to crush a cupcake in my face. Of course he did eventually, but I was able to outrun him at first. If I had my shoes on and hadn’t been barefoot, he never would have caught me. I would have just kept going like Forrest Gump!

I haven’t seen our slump buster challenge yet but it isn’t stopping me!  I have my water ready, I ate a healthy breakfast (haven’t done that in about 3 weeks), and I’m ready to go!  Not ready to work though obviously since i’m updating my blog instead of working.

Okay, so I just saw this weeks Slump Buster Challenge.  Oh the cruel and unusual punishments you ladies come up with.  275 minutes of exercise this week (I like the mile challenges better), clean eating, 80oz of water, giving something up that hinders weight loss, and doing something different exercise wise.

Not sure what I am going to give up.  The different exercise routine?  Well, I will keep running all week, but I may go play volleyball tonight since our league is starting up.  Our game is at 9pm so hubby and I have to figure out which one of us is staying home since our kids will be in bed long before that.  I may start doing Debbie Siebers again.  I need to tone up a bit and she helps.  And my clean eating will be staying within my alloted calories, diet coke ONCE A DAY only, and staying away from snacks!

 
Water: 101.4 + some/80   HELLS YEAH BITCHES!!!
Breakfast: Eggo Nutrigrain lowfat waffles w/ banana and PB - 295k
Lunch: Jerk Spiced Seitan - 300k blood orange - 86k
Valid Snack: 1 string cheese w/ 1 fat free flour tortilla - 186k I say this is valid b/c I will be low on my calories if I don’t eat it, plus I am going running in a little bit so i needed something.
Dinner: Dinner is going to be the Oven Fried Chicken Thighs with Buttermilk-Mustard Sauce that getupnow made last week. Which is funny since she is making something I’ve made before as well. Anyway, Chicken thighs - 378k, 1/2 cub stuffing - 160k, broccoli - 30k
Exercise: 80/275: 20 minute run + 60 minutes volleyball (we won by the way!)

 

Total Calories end up being: 1455k   I could make it lower by not eating the stuffing, but since I’m going running AND playing competitive volleyball tonight, I feel justifed in consuming it since I’ll burn it off quickly.   I finished my water consumption!  Now I wonder….  how much diet coke can I drink in one sitting?!  :lol:

 

Weekend update

So i got on the scale yesterday just to see what was going on, because like getupnow, i really didn’t think it was fat gain I saw on the scale the other day.  Well, it was DOWN 7lbs!!  And I KNOW I didn’t do anything to lose 7lbs of fat, so it’s got to be fluids and weirdness from all the saline and anesthesia they gave me in the hospital.  Made me feel better anyway.   I’m going to try to get back to normal tomorrow by going running after work.  I’ll see how it goes.  Probably will only to the short 1.5 mile loop instead of pushing 2 or 3 since it’s been a week.  Hopefully I’ll be back up to 3 in no time.

 

Another 3 mile run…

So I guess I’ve finally worked myself up to 3 miles. I ran last night since I figured I wouldn’t be doing anything more this week. I did walk a bit, but not very long. Pretty much ran the whole thing.

OH!!! And I realized something on my run last night. I do SO much better if I let myself go. That doesn’t make too much sense, so i’ll try to elaborate. When i run, I tend to sort of hold myself back. I can feel the tension in my arms and such. Does this make sense (I’m on pain meds right now so bear with me)? Anyway, I found a GREAT track on podrunners that I’ve run to twice now and it sort of trances me out… easy to just get lost in the music. Well last night, I noticed I was keeping everything loose.. my arms were moving and it actually helped me lengthen my stride and run a little faster.

So I am down and out for at least the next few days. In the risk of TMI, I had an endometrial ablation. So there isn’t incisions or anything, just a lot of cramping. I can start running again as soon as I feel up to it. So hopefully got next week’s challenge. I’ll be watching all of you this week.

OMG, ya’ll. This weeks Slump Buster Challenge has me scared!! But I’m going to do it…or at least go down trying! I was back into the 180’s today! YAY!! Of course, I only ate twice yesterday so I’m sure that had something to do with it.

Tonight is a birthday party for a friend at Pat O’Briens, which is at CityWalk at Universal. That means there will be a fair amount of alcohol flowing. I’m sure I will go up some because of it. At least I use diet coke as a mixer (good thing these clean eating things are only during the week :lol: )

Somehow I gained 3lbs from yesterday morning.  WTF?!

How does that happen when I ran my ASS off last night?!  Hmm…perhaps the tortilla chips I’ve been eating with dinner every night this week.  Sodium anyone?

Just b/c getupnow is getting worried about me :)

So… my trip was AWESOME!! Well, actually my whole vacation was fun. I was off Tues - Friday. My friend came down here and we tore it up! We went to a Yankees Spring Training game (she’s a huge Yankees fan), we went to the beach, and then we went to Margaritaville on Wed and got TORE up! I remembered the first 3 drinks — I was told I had a total of 8. Hmmm… Left for NY on Thursday, and got tore up again on Friday! This was the last weekend the insanely hot guitarist was playing with the band. By Sat, I was done drinking…and that was supposed to be our heavy drinking day since it was St. Patty’s celebration. Oh, and I changed my hair color… BLACK! Here are some pics of my trip.

In actual dieting news, I am hovering right around the 190 mark. If I could actually get on track, I could drop into the 180’s. I’m still running, but not consistantly enough.

I’ve been swamped at work b/c of being off all last week. Blah… i don’t know if I’ll ever get caught up. It sucks that you have to weigh if taking a vacation is worth it or not. BUT, we are FINALLY getting a home laptop so I will be able to update more often since I won’t have to be using hubby’s work computer. I’m hoping that I will be able to use it to help me stay on track as well.

I’m not participating in the Slump Buster challenge this week, but I hope to next week!

And now I’m going to do the same. I feel that in the year that I’ve been posting on this website, I have made some wonderful internet friends. And some of those friendships have crossed over from this website onto other networking sites, which makes it more fun b/c you get to learn a little bit more about the person. And I truely hope that one day I will be able to meet each and every one of you somehow. I met my best friend on the internet, so I am all about meeting internet friends (my husband thinks I’m a bit odd for this, but he thinks I’m odd anyway, so whatever). Ugh… stupid scale.  Well, it’s not really the scales fault.  Could have been the bag of tortilla chips I ate yesterday.   Apparantly the 10 mile bike ride didn’t do anything to counter act it.  Or maybe it did and I had acually gained MORE!  Anyway, it has to stop now.  (Yeah, yeah… I’ve said that before)   I need to start logging everything again.. making sure I am not mindlessly snacking.  Making sure I exercise!!  I was doing so well and then… BAM.

Breakfast:  w/w breakfast quesadilla - 220k

Lunch: Kashi Tuscan Veggie Lasagne - 290k; 2 pcs amish friendship bread - ?
