3.41
Running April 21st, 2009The mileage I ran today WITHOUT WALKING!! WOO HOO!!! I am beat now though! A friend of mine says I need new shoes. I say no.. we’ll see what happens. They aren’t quite a year old though.
Anyway, yes… I ran 3.41 miles tonight. The battery was showing dead on my ipod so my plan was to run until it died. Well, it never really died. I just kept running… sort of like Forrest Gump.
My own slump buster challenge is not going well. I have a lot going on with work and stuff right now… but I’m trying to keep at least partially with the slump buster.
Getupnow… I know… I suck. Totally not cool. I feel really disconnected, but I’m still lurking around.

OMG! See. That is what is going on, isn’t it? You are hiding out transforming into Wonder Woman!
GREAT JOB ON THE RUN!!
I have been putting in so much time at the gym that I am neglecting my running. I clearly need to work on that by June! Otherwise you are going to leave me behind!
I think typically it is 400 miles per pair of shoes. I hope mine last through the summer so I can sacrifice them at the mud run in September.

That is an awesome run. Wow.
I was also told at the running store 400 miles for a pair of shoes. Then my brother in law told me it’s 200-250, but that may be based on size. He’s a big 6′2″ 240 lb guy and he says the more weight you have pounding out the “good stuff” inside of the shoes, the quicker they wear out, EVEN IF the outsides and soles look brand new.
Not trying to sell you new shoes… just saying : )

Girl, get you some new kicks. You def don’t want to chance a stress fracture, or even a blister for that matter.
I am so tee-totally impressed you ran 3.41 miles without walking. Dang. That is like so awesomely cool! Keep it up you wild woman!
