A better day today? Let’s hope so
Journal, Running December 5th, 2008So yesterday was not all that great food wise. I did okay until I got home and then it started. I was making pizza for dinner and I ended up eating more pepperoni than I put on the pizza I think. Plus a few slices of cheese. Then I ate ONE slice of pizza, although that’s something b/c I am a more than one slice sort of girl.
And then I went running. You can see by my post below that it went well…better than expected. I ran 2.25 miles!! I wasn’t planning on going that far, but that’s what happened. I didn’t know how far I was going while I was running. I had to go to church to practice for the ladies ensemble I got roped into so I figured I’d go down and run around the lake before hand. I had an idea of what the distance was but I was sort of surprised when I got home and mapped it out. And at least I burned off the pepperoni that i consumed.
Hopefully today will be a better day:
Breakfast - oatbran and……. peaches - 190
Lunch: Tomato Alphabet Soup - 167, yogurt - 120
Dinner: TBD

You are so ready to go all the way to 5k. Go for it, I bet you can do it! I think the hardest part is getting past that first mile. Once that is over, it gets so much easier for me. You have a 5k coming up, right?
I can’t even make calzones because I after I cook the sausage, I find myself grabbing little bites of it. And then I eat raw dough (I know, gross) and then bites of cheese. I consume my dinner before it even goes in the oven.
How did the soup turn out?

I am bookmarking the soup. sounds good.
The mud run is a 5k with obstacles like going upstream through a shallow river, crawling through the mud, etc. I wanted to post a pic, but I couldn’t lift the pics off the site because they are protected, but here is the link. http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/thumbpage.aspx?e=4100257

Look at you! I’m impressed! I soooo want to run. Maybe not bad enough. The doc says, “No” and I say “Ok”
Luckily, I don’t like any kind of sausage, including pepperoni. Can’t get past thinking what’s in it. I guess that’s a good thing because I don’t think I’ve ever seen it written up for any health benefits. Lost all interest when I was 14 years old and read the ingredients.
