A quick update
General November 10th, 2008We are moved in. We moved this weekend and I guess I should state that all of our stuff is at the new house… it isn’t unpacked and put away though. My front room looks like the warehouse from the end of Raiders of the Lost Arc (or the beginning of the most recent Indiana Jones since it’s the same…) Anyway… but we are moved and in. When I have a moment to breathe, I’ll post pics of the house with all it’s lovely new paint and flooring.
Busy week… I was off last Friday for a field trip. Today the baby has her two year checkup (yesterday was her birthday), then I have a dr appt tomorrow and a dentist appt on Friday! BLAHHH!! I am planning on going to the gym today for the first time in 4 weeks or so. I am going to sign up for a 5k on Dec 13 so I need to start training again. I think I’m going to do my own thing. I fifgured I have about 4 weeks, I’m going to push myself to run a half mile today (more if I am feeling good) and progressivly work my way up as far as I can. We’ll see. I’ll start counting my calories again this week too.. maybe. We are still all unorganized from the move so it may be next week. But I will feel better once I get to the gym.
That’s all for now. I have a ton of stuff to do at work so I better get to it!!

Congratulations on getting moved in! But, man, does unpacking suck.
Check out http://www.halhigdon.com/5K%20Training/5-Knovice.htm for a do it on your own 5k plan. You’ll have to shorten it to make your race, but I like that Hal Higdon does the progressive build up in distance along with step back days where you drop back in distance to rest. That has really helped me a lot!
