Once again, the weekend challenges me…
General September 27th, 2008So I was really good last night. Remember how I consumed all my calories at lunch (Veggie Fajita Burrito with corn and mild salsa, chips and medium salsa from Chipotle)? Well, in-laws came into town last night, so after son’s soccer game, we went out to dinner. What to do? Oh, a menu of possibilities in front of me. Not really hungry, but everyone is eating…. I got a side salad with oil and vinegar (used all vinegar, just a little bit of the oil)
So this morning, we had to meet them for breakfast to pick up our son who spent the night with grandma and grandpa. First of all, we had to wait for runners of a 15k to run by our apartment. We waited about 15-20 minutes before we were able to get out. I was amazed by watching them. And inspired. Anyway, breakfast was at the hotel, so I had half a container of Special K (one whole package with 140k, which is why I only ate half) and some 2% milk. Then hubby and I went to the gym and I ran for 1/2 an hour then did some weights.
Lunch: I met a friend at our favorite mexican restaurant. We split nachos (so so so good, and so so so bad) and flan. I was SO hungry though. I hadn’t eaten anything except for that cereal. Oh well.
Dinner: 1/2 veggie sub with no mayo from Firehouse Subs.
Eh… what are you gonna do. I have to figure out a way to make the weekends work for me instead of totally losing my mind over the weekend.

You could just consider the weekends your metabolism booster. Maybe do a little math and look at your calories per week to determine what you need to do M-F to accomodate the weekends.
So very cool about the 15k. I love to watch people run. The police here were having some sort of distance run one time and it is a good thing I was standing in the bank and not driving because I probably would have wrecked. Some fine looking bodies in motion, it was!

Hey! You did great! Okay…you ate a few nachos and a bit of flan BUT you ate a salad for dinner the night before and had a good breakfast and dinner! Don’t get down on yourself…you’re doing great!

It doesn’t sound to me like you lost your mind at all here. Okay, we both have a Mexican food weakness (these are a wonderful people who have found a way to incorporate chips into almost every meal…at least in the US version…what’s not to love?), but you worked out & ate sensibly for the other meals.
I bet your calories weren’t that far off.
