General September 13th, 2008My official time in my Rock & Run 5k this morning. Not bad, not bad. I have to say that running on a treadmill is MUCH easier than running on the streets. My legs are tired. They don’t usually feel like this after the gym. I stopped a few time to walk, but I didn’t walk for very long. Just long enough to recover (maybe 90 seconds or so). For one, my friends were in front of me and I didn’t want them to be waiting TOO long for me when I finished. Two, I wanted to have a good time. Not only that, but I kept thinking about bigprof out there running today and thinking she’s doing the same thing right now (although probably not because she’s in central time zone so an hour behind).
I’ll post a picture of the shirt later. It’s so cool… and if you knew me, you’d say that it is totally me and would know why I wanted it.

Congratulations on your race! I know you just did it for the shirt, heehee, but did you have fun?
Hurry up and post the picture of the shirt. I’m sure it’s cool, but can it really compete with my Sausage Fest 5k shirt, complete with a running weenie? Sorry, but I doubt it. http://shanaob.blogspot.com/2008/09/bonus.html

Can’t wait to see the shirt! Great job on your 5k, I bet it feels good to get through that and know that you can! There is one before Thanksgiving that I should sign up for, but we’ll see. I am pretty cozy with the thought of having two months to prepare.
Hope the house thing is going well.

Whoa-ho! You did good! All that and a cool shirt too? Can’t wait until I can run. (Okay, I can, I will.) But you are so cool. Hope you get the house, too. Looked at the pics - very cool! Congrats on your run today.

I’m re-posting my comment cause it doesn’t appear to have shown up here, although I can see it, so maybe you can…
Anywho…
Congrats on your race & your awesome time! Hey, I’m in Eastern timezone too…don’t ask, the midwest is weird. So we were probably running at the same time! Would’ve been nice to really run a race together, but I was thinking about you during my race too!
I’ll just say it in case no one else does (ahem!), but today WE ROCK! WE’RE AWESOME! YAY US!
