Just another 30-something woman fighting metabolism changes. Trying to not let the ~30-lb weight gain get me down :)

I’m technically not even “overweight” but my body fat came out “obese”/”poor” so here I am, trying to develop a plan that’s going to whip me into shape. For the long haul.

For now, here’s the plan:

  1. Calorie-counting. Trying to maximize fiber and protein and mufas. Minimize sat. fat and all but eliminate refined carbohydrates.
  2. As of Jan 31, back on South Beach.
  3. Exercise: ~1 hr/day. Body Pump classes 3x/week, lifting heavy. Run/walking 5K 3x/week. Working on increasing speed. 30 modified pushups/day, working toward at least ONE REAL pushup. Walking and hiking whenever…
