2010 Dilemmas of the Day, consolidated
02/03 How to integrate a lot more movement into my regular life? Some ideas:
- Start wearing a pedometer and walk to wherever I can (hopefully this will improve with a new living situation)
- Go back to my old rule of never *sitting* and watching TV. Have to be doing some kind of exercises - stretching, situps, pushups, weights…
- Hmmm… I can’t think of anything else in my current situation…
01/30 How can I maintain a social life and a strict fitness routine? I already have a lot of ideas about this. The problem is more about the *unplanned* social events.
- I could make more effort to work out earlier! (See 01/01)
- I could eat more before going out so I’m not inclined to eat so much out.
- I could bring things to eat that are healthy for me.
- I could plan more “healthy” outings: with some activity, eating somewhere that has healthy food.
01/14 Maybe I need to focus on a lower fat diet?
01/13 How to get my emotions under control and be a more functional person? (re: diet, fitness, career, social life, ETC)? (hmmm…. very similar to yesterday!) As I said in my post, I need to dedicate some serious time to figuring this out.
01/12 How to stay on track when I don’t FEEL like it? In other words, how to not let my emotions derail me?
01/09 How to bring ALL the elements of a healthy diet (not to mention exercise) together? I am HOPING that as I sort out the rest, this falls into place. Right now I tend to be able to do well in one, maybe two aspects.
01/08 How can I PLAN out my days to better nutritionally? And then do it?
01/06 What kind of running schedule can I develop?
01/02 How can I live in a way that I consider healthy without spending ALL my time thinking about it - reading other people’s stories, looking up recipes, planning, shopping and finally implementing exercise, cooking, etc? This is probably going to be a year-long rumination (thus defeating the purpose). Maybe SOMEDAY I’ll get it together.
01/01 HOW to make time for exercise… Some observations. It might be easier if I do it in the mornings if I don’t have a scheduled class. Knowing myself, I am going to have to schedule the time for this. It is just waaaay too easy to get distracted and then I’m too hungry or late for something else, blah blah, blah.
