Just a quick introduction for anyone that might actually read this.  My name is Emily, I’m a 32 year old mom to 3 beautiful kiddos; Connor (5), Desmond (3) and Darcy (6 months).  My weight gain/loss journey has been going on for over 10 years now.  I’ve always struggled with my weight but my first “diet” was senior year of high school.  My father passed away the year before and although I had a little padding before, I gained a lot after his passing.  I was probably about 170# on a 5′3″ frame at the age of 17.  So, I dieted - basically ate 500 cals a day for a very long time, weighed myself obsessively many times a day and got down to about 130#.  College came along and although I managed to stay slim through my freshman year, I eventually put the weight back on. I was shocked when I saw a picture of myself with my now husband the weekend after college graduation.  I think I was in complete denial all through college about the weight I had gained.  I didn’t do anything about the weight until about a year later when I joined Weight Watchers.  I was very successful and my weight settled around 135# and stayed there for about 2 years.  Then, in Feb 2006 I got pregnant - my highest pregnancy weight was 182#!!!  I gained a ton of weight - nothing the first 20 weeks and then packed it on like it was going out style for the second half of my pregnancy.  2 more pregnancies later and I’m now ~182# non pregnant!  We have decided that our family is now complete so it’s time to take off the weight for good.
