My Mission: I have TWO.

I am sick and tired of being a fatty, and I am sick and tired of being LAZY.

I know you’re thinking: “Oh, but we’re all here to stop being lazy, why are you distinguishing the two?”

It’s because laziness (or procrastination) has shoved me way deep into my comfort zone, to the extent where it cushions me from my fears of positive things that will have a good impact on my life, like studying and hard work. The comments I always hear from professors are, oh you have intelligent things to say but you need to get your work in on time. Why do I have this issue of being last-minute? Why do I let laziness, procrastination and time-wasting build up on me like bad plaque?! Why am I more reactive instead of being proactive?!

With this weightloss journey, I not only want to lose weight, but I want to get rid of this habit. Clean myself from it. I want to overcome this and become a person that’s more proactive and takes charge of things in their life. I’m sick and tired being in this loser zone (where the only loser is ME). So here I go, taking control of two things:

1. Weight loss, healthy eating
2. School, education, learning

Both things require me to:

  • To have willpower
  • To have determination
  • The ability to say no
  • The ability to sacrifice the now for the long-term.
  • To be active (one through exercise, one through thinking)
At the moment, 3FC has helped me so much in staying accountable towards my weightloss and fitness goals. I want to use this blog to help me further in achieving not only that, but also my study goals.
Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune.

This is so true on so many levels, and can apply to weightloss as well as anything else. You can lead the horse to the water, but it’s up to the horse to benefit from it and drink it. ¬†Another important quote for me:
Well done is better than well said.
- Benjamin Franklin

Do it, and then you will feel motivated to do it.

How many times have I countlessly read these again and again? I need to take action. The time to change is now. How many times have I given up in the past and only realising that “giving up” was the most pointless and time wasting thing I had done?! I was going to type how I wanted to keep fighting and all that bullcrap. However, words have no value when action isn’t taken. So here I go. To whoever’s reading this, thank you, and wish me luck. I hope that I will be able to change, and by doing that I can inspire someone else to change as well.Let’s not waste the potential of who we are and who we can be!
