Okay. Last night DH and I made pictures of how we visualize ourselves looking when we are thin. I went to the virtual model website and put my head on a 140 pound body dressed in slinky black capris and a little black V-necked, sleeveless top with a chain belt at the waist. DH put HIS head on Jon Gabriel’s (final) body. We visualized ourselves looking like this (Both need to lose at least 20 pounds….shhhhhh…more like 30 for DH, but don’t say anything, okay?) After doing our visualizations, we put the (Jon Gabriel) CD on, and began listening. DH promptly fell asleep, which may not bode well for the success of this undertaking, but we’re having fun with it, so who cares? (I kinda like his big, teddy-bearish look, but don’t say anything about that, either, because he’ll use it as an excuse…maybe not, but I don’t want to take the chance.) He started his (usual) snoring, which I just managed to incorporate into my deep breathing and releasing, but later on I fell asleep, as well, and his snoring woke me up, so I had to decamp to the guest bedroom.
So far, so good, though. (Thanks, Feathers, for the info and book link). I haven’t quite incorporated all of it (new attitude/communicating my desire to be thin to my animal brain) into my psyche just yet, but I AM working on it. Until I get it incorporated, I’ve been trying the why powder/soy milk/frozen fruit shakes for breakfast and lunch, and am really enjoying them. I eat a regular, lowish-calorie meal for supper, and my Weight Watcher’s ice cream sandwich about an hour afterwards.
We also walked a mile around the park near our house last night. We are feeling very virtuous and healthy these days. No walking tonight - Wednesdays are “pasta night” at Mama Z’s, and the kids all come for my Smart Penne Pasta (Low calorie/high fiber) and sauce made with Healthy Choice traditional style sauce with chopped onions, green peppers, red peppers, 93% lean ground beef and sliced turkey sausage added. This takes a while to prepare, needless to say. But that’s okay. We are planning to walk Tuesdays (which we already did) and Thursdays when I get home from work, and Saturdays and Sundays. Anyway, our numbers were reduced tonight at supper with DD30 & her DH & daughter away visiting with my DS in California. She called, though, and they’re having a great time, which I’m glad about. They’ll be flying home Friday night.
In general, a pretty okay day at work today, and the temperature hit 80. Not too shabby.
Keep the faith y’all,
Z
love ya
