			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I was wondering todaywhat makes this year different from any other ?  I always have the same basic resolutions, be a better me, better wife, better mom, etc.  And I think on the whole, I do improve in who I am, I am kinder than I was two years ago, I try new things, broaden my experiences, I am more patient&#8230; but the weight issue NEVER changes, so why is this year going to be different??</p>
<p>this year is different because my mind set about weight loss is different!  I don&#8217;t want a fad diet to loose 50 lbs in 2 months, I want slow and steady weight-loss.  I want to lose weight so it will NEVER return to my hips&#8230; change in habits, and the way I look at food. Fuel is what a friend calls it and she is so right, I need to fuel my body, and enough fuel is great too much, and you work poorly.</p>
<p>So this is the new way I am working on my weight journey, and I hope you all are well, and living to your best:)  happy NEW year!!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I did have a good day &#8230; my diet was healthy, I got 30 mins of walking in&#8230;all in all, I am happy with the way it went today.   And, I learned a very cool fact about sleeping and sugar. I have never been an excellent sleeper, I sleep lightly, and have  a hard time sleeping beyond 5-6hrs.  Today I read an article about sleep deprivation and how your body becomes unable to handle blood sugar.  this really made me stop and think ! I have  aways slept the same way, but as I have gotten older, I have noticed that my metabolism is like it is standing still&#8230; could this be because I am not sleeping therefore, my body is not using the sugar in my body for energy, but turning it into fat??!  Maybe, and the fact that until this year I have not cared about my diet didn&#8217;t help.</p>
<p>Have a good night everyone, I am going to try really hard to be in bed by 11:30pm.. which is about 2 hours early for me:)</p>

<p>I love this because I am a &#8216;eat it now!!&#8217; kind of person, and I don&#8217;t always think of the consequences&#8230; like how much will I have to walk to work off the calories of the 8 cookies I had inhaled.  Anyway, I loved it, so I wrote about it, maybe it will make someone else think differently too:)</p>
<p>By the way I am back on the diet wagon, and hopefully after this week (TOM), I will start to drop pounds again.  As it stands right now, I am up 8 lbs, but I always go up at this time, so no big:)</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This week I have absolutely fallen off the wagon, as a matter of fact, I can no longer see the wagon!!  I have eaten terribly and have NO desire whatever to start again.  I feel like I am ALWAYS goingto be fat!! And yes, I am having a very stressful time at home&#8230; we are renovating, and my husband is working full time, so the reno&#8217;s are taking FOREVER!!  And Christmas is coming and I have 3 family functions happening here&#8230; anyway a lot of STRESS!!!!!  So I started eating and now I am putting on weight I worked really hard to lose.. and that makes me want to eat more! </p>
<p>Any advice??  Anybody else go through this kind of circle thinking, and break out of it?  Also, how do you encourage yourself to excercise daily?  Really struggling with it, too!</p>

<p>Anyway, this weekend is whizzing by, and  I did some outdoor stuff today, raking and bagging leaves.. I was out for about an hour, worked up a bit of a glisten, so I am counting that as excercise for the day:) </p>
<p>Looking forward to walking tomorrow, and maybe jogging a bit, just to see if I like it or hate it.  What if I combine it, would all the joggers laugh at me?  or would the other walkers laugh at me??  well, I think I might give it a try anyway&#8230;</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Went to see a movie tonight with my hubby.Going to the movies is one of my favorite things to do, and especially with my husband:)  When we got there, I was very determined only to get water, which I did&#8230; but my husband bought nachos and Reeses Pieces candy&#8230; yum!  I got half way through the movie and had 6 nachos and 10 RP candy&#8230; and have been angry at myself ever since!!  I knew better!!I had a very good eating day, have not gone over my points, and I did excercise, then I ruin the day!  I guess tomorrow is another day, and I can start again, but it is the falling off taht is bothering me.  How long until I can resist a bit of temptation??</p>
<p>Anyway, tomorrow is a big work out day for me, and I am looking forward to it!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have  a lot of kids!!  Well, actually I have five kids, and for some people this is not a lot of kids, and normally I don&#8217;t even think that they are hard to handle&#8230; but on very rare occasions, I think to myself, WOW THIS IS ALOT OF KIDS!!!  There is noise, and toys, and laundry&#8230; and hugs and laughing and fun and learning&#8230; and it is totally worth it!  But sometimes I crave quiet.. like tonight.  My family is all in bed, and I am alone&#8230;.sigh, lovely,  and  I am looking forward to the morning when my youngest one will come in and say &#8216;Momma can I snuggle up in your bed? &#8217;</p>
<p>I am finding it hard to find the time to walk, I like walking because it is quiet and I can do it anywhere&#8230; the problem is finding the time.  Maybe I should say that I am not MAKING the time.. hmm, this sounds more like it, I can make the time to have coffee with a girlfriend, or shop.  Okay, well, that is all the patience I have for self discovery tonight.  Basically, I HAVE to make the time to walk, or this weight is never gonna come off&#8230;</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On Sundays we are a typical family, there is a routine that we follow &#8230;. church in the am, then lunch then my hubby naps and the kids and I watch a movie or play outside , then dinner and we start prepping for the rest of the week.   Today I changed our routine&#8230; well, actually I just changed my routine, and my husband graciously went along with it:)</p>
<p>After lunch was eaten, and everyone had scattered to colour play the computer and see when the Nascar race began, I told my husband that I felt like taking a walk&#8230; this would entail him waiting about a 1/2 hour before he began his nap&#8230;. (the same nap he had been taking at the same time for years!!)  I loved his answer, &#8216; Well the weather isn&#8217;t going be beautiful like this again for a while,  you should get out there!&#8217;  so for 33 mins, I had a great time of quiet and the sunshine was amazing! I actually got a slight burn:)  And felt so good about taking time for me!!</p>
<p>With the weather in Canada soon getting snowy and cold, don&#8217;t know that I wll be venturing out for many walks, but I have a Wii fitness trainer and I think that it will probably become my new best friend!</p>
<p>It is tea time, so gotta go, then baths for kids, and prep for tomorrow&#8230;.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Just a quick note tonight about who i am and why I am starting a blog about my weight loss journey.  I am doing this for me, because I think it will help keep me on track to remember the good days ,what worked for me( and what didn&#8217;t).</p>
<p>I have been married for 16 years to a great man, and we have 5 kids, ages 13-5 yrs.  I am a stay   at home mom, work p/t for my husbands business and volunteer at my kids school and our church. </p>
<p>I am DETERMINED to lose 66 lbs !  I made this decision on Oct.28th, and have lost 11 lbs so far.  I am using WW , not going to meetings, but have their system and am sticking to it.  I like the food journalling  because it makes me realize what I am eating, and how much water I am taking in.  I am Also walking 30mins a day( except Sundays), and hope to start to work out on Mon. and Wed. as well.</p>
<p>Okay, that is me in a nutshell:)  Looking forward to losing with all of you!</p>
