CHALLENGE!

Nothin’ makes me move my lazy butt like
a little healthy competition!
So with that in mind, I’m extending this
open invitation
to anyone who would like to join…
THE OFFICIAL MONTHLY
WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE
This is not a “how much weight can you lose” contest
(partly because then it’s not fair to people who have less weight to lose).
The nitty-gritty of “weight loss” isn’t what the scale says,
it’s the day-to-day commitment to do two things:
1) eat right and
2) exercise.
So that’s what this contest is about.
Not about losing weight, but about doing what it takes!
From now until the end of the month,
each participant can earn gold stars ![]()
![]()
![]()
simply by meeting their own daily food goal
and/or by doing an hour of exercise.
For example, if you decide that your daily food goal is
“Less than 1700 calories,”
and tomorrow you meet that goal,
you will receive ONE star.
If, in the same day, you put in an hour of exercise
(whatever you normally consider ‘exercise’ whether
it’s walking, running, lifting weights, etc.),
then that day you will have earned TWO stars.
An extra hour of exercise? THREE stars.
Oh, and a half-hour of exercise will getcha a half-star. ![]()
Two of ‘em of course adds up to a whole one.
The contestant with the most accumulated stars
at midnight eastern time on the last day of the month
will win a GOLD MEDAL graphic
(which will be posted on the W8Challenge website Hall of Fame
AND can be posted in the widget column on their blog)
How cool is that?!?!
Second and third place winners will receive
bronze & silver medals.
Here’s kinda what they look like (the actual medals are larger):

RULES
Contestants will report their own progress
and will be trusted to keep it accurate and real.
Remember: For meeting your food goal, you get one star.
For an hour of exercise, you get one star.
For a half-hour of exercise, you get a half-star.
(In other words, it doesn’t matter what your daily goal is
for exercise - the daily goal only applies to food.)
If you have been logging food & exercise since the beginning of the month,
then yes, you can count & report those days too.
If you want to join in, just register at:
GOOD LUCK!
